Dragons= Friends?

Why is Alduin so pissed any way?

Because he wants to destroy the world so he can create a new one, as he has been doing. I think.

Maybe you could raise a peaceful dragon community
and again Intelligence cannot co-exist with mindless killing

Yes, it can.

Edit: It also depends on the definition of intelligence, which is debated.

If they are intelligent they must have mercy/respect/feelings, such is a basic fact

I wonder if the spider I just squished thought the same thing about me, right before I squished him......

and even if they don't incorporate dragon-friending this Intelligence vs. mindless killing machine thing is a plothole or at least an avenue worth exploring Bloodlust Vs. Intelligence i mean I'd like to know what is going through the dragons heads. They certainly have thoughts so whats going on in their heads

No, I don't want Skyrim to be "How to Train Your Alduin".

well theres two interactions that i Strongly believe will happen.
1. Theres a dragon shout that calls an actual dragon to help you in battle. (thats helping a friend in need :wink_smile: )
2.you turn into a dragon to fight ALduin at the end of the game.

How is it a plot hole? I repeat, an intelligent being CAN "mindlessly kill", and besides, the dragons in Skyrim aren't "mindlessly killing".

Wasn't a dragon shout that summons a dragon to aid you in battle confirmed?

Yea I thought it was.

And it isn't the same to call a magically bound dragon into combat (like conjuration) as it is to befriend and fly one
plus an airborne fight against dragons/Alduin would be epic would it not?

1. Indeed, this has been stated in GI, one of the more reliable sources of info.
2. I seriously [censored] hope not. I do not want to play an Oblivion plot rehash as Martin this time around. I want it to be a hard battle in which I have to utilize all my HUMAN strengths, as well as my awesome Dragonshouts. It should be epic, it should be hard, it should be an actual boss battle. No QTEs, no cinematic sequences until I deliver the deathblow.

They're on a mission to destroy the world. What time do they have for friendship?
To elaborate, using RL examples, think of the dragons as such: dragons are to Alduin, what angels are to God.

Turning into a dragon would derive leveling up of its point unless those skill were incorporated into your dragon-form
It would be better just to either be helped by the dragons or ride one and-actually screw that riding/turning into dragons would really make the final boss svck, still like morphing idea though
ex.
destruction=flames
blunt=tail
blade=claws/teeth

Alduin is "god-like" not an actual god, its referring to his power

There is an edit button. Also, he is a god. He is a form of Akatosh, which is a god (or deity, if you prefer).

Nord reaches out to dragon "Dragon... friend?"
They share a moment of silence...
The dragon bites off the nords arm, lights him on fire, and then stomps on him to put him out.

Dragons =/= Friends

at least that's the feeling i get from the interviews, when they ask todd about the dragons.

Wait, so to make the ENTIRE plot of Skyrim, it needs humor?? No, just no. That is an insult to the good people at Bethesda.

Where'd you get that?

http://uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Alduin Then click on the link that says 'Akatosh', and in the first sentence you will see his is, in fact, a deity (or a god, if you prefer).
