Dragons in human form: possible companion

Post » Tue May 17, 2011 12:13 pm

If The dragons can shift into a human form i thought why not be able to use speechcraft to sway them into traveling with you instead of killing you. that would be an amazing feat plus they could have a unique quest of killing a rival dragon or something what do you think

Sounds too much like Warcraft to have young, rogue, and presumably female-in-human-form dragons following you around as allies.

Now hostile dragons taking on the form of incredibly powerful humans... :D

I hate most of the lore surrounding dragons. If I had it my way there would be the vicious ones and the ones who are civil and can talk. No transforming, no underwater dragons, none of that garbage. Just ones that act like what they are (big predators who hunt and are hunted for hunting), and civil ones that are still persecuted just because they are dragons.

Reminds me Villentretenmert the Golden Dragon who once was Geralt's companion in one of the first Witcher books :hugs:

But no, it sounds weird, and what did you deduce from that the dragons can shapeshift into human form? I've heard that before with no basis

Yes! I will be disappointed if they are all one dimensional villains to be hunted and killed! I really hope there are not only enemies, but indifferent and even allied dragons!

I wouldn't mind if they could disguise themselves as other races. I know that's not uncommon in dragon lore for other fantasy stories but if it's not a part of The Elder Scrolls series it doesn't belong I agree.

I'm not quite sure where that comes from exactly - it may be from the http://uesp.net/wiki/Lore:King_Edward series of books from Daggerfall. A greatly underestimated classic, I hope they return in Skyrim!

Yeah I mean dragons are god like creatures...I don't think they would want to follow the one thing they fear: DragonBorn!

I can kinda see a dragon getting a human to be its companion, and there being a quest to kill the dragon and human, but i wouldnt really like the main character getting a dragon mount.

I don't want dragons to become humans and I certainly wouldn't want to destroy the mystery and majesty by using them as my peasants.

Dunno seems like the Dragon might just use it as a way to get close to the Dovahkiin and stab them in the back.
