*"&%/#! dragons!

Post » Sat Dec 10, 2011 9:00 pm

I′ve killed propably hundreads of dragons in this game. I′ve completed the main quest, and I still can walk in the wilderness even once without a dragon appearing. At the moment, I′m playing skyrim, and there′s a second dragon attacking me in less than 5 minutes. And this happens to me all the time. The whole game loses it′s point, since I can′t get a moment without a dragon bothering me. It′s getting ridiculous.

When is the CK coming out, so I can try to mod out the dragons from this game??

Anyone else having this problem?

This is a fantastic game, but I don′t know if I want to keep playing, if I can′t hunt or explore places in peace.

I believe that the frequency of dragon attacks increases as you go forward in the main quest, and that it tapers off again after you finish that story.

Edit: Additionally, if you don't want dragons at all, just don't start the main quest.

Why if the main quest is finished are so many dragons spawning? You'd think their number would go down a bit

This is one of the flaws in this game and one I think Bethesda will improve on for the next elder scrolls.

Currently it doesn't matter if you finish a quest line; nothing changes. NPCs might mention them as you walk by, but that's about the extent of it. You finish a quest line and that's it. You get new armor/weapons, and maybe even a new house but the world is not affected.

Hopefully Bethesda works on this for the next game since I don't think modders will be able to fix this since it would require new voices to fill in.

I'm finding it the opposite. In a 2-4 hours of a playing session, I'm lucky if I run across just one dragon.

Half the dragons I see don't even bother attacking me either.

I agree. It seems the dragons are too numerous and too weak. Their AI is also stupid - they fly over you and then go after wolves and other critters.

Hopefully future patches improve the dragon AI so they make attacking the player a priority over critters. Also the dragons should be less numerous and more powerful so they don't lose for example to a giant.
