Well, if I'd know, I would tell you. I haven't really settled on 1 actual product yet.
The last days I even was too busy to think about it.

It's unbelievable there actually are things more important than getting a new pc, but I have a life after all... even if it's a bad one currently... and I have to earn my money for living.
Working all day and night is unhealthy, I know, but there's currently no way around it... I hate deadlines! (didn't I mention that already? Sounds familiar.)
And I'm ill already anyways, although it's just a flu, but of course still a major hindrance. :cold:

That's why there was no progress on anything lately. Hopefully things will get better soon.

nah, dont worry about it, i know people have to work, the last thing i want is for someone to end up on their ass in the gutter without a job.

take your time, you can't rush perfection :)

I just started playing again and found some odd behavior. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v628/lordsoulstrike/Drake%20Dragon/mesh-corruption.gif
Just goes to show that sometimes even meshes can go wonky. Anyways please make sure if this happens to you to reinstall those meshes before doing *shudders* turn all those mods on and off.! :banghead:

That's really an odd thing indeed.

Possible causes would be either unweighted vertices or missing textures on certain types of clothing/body meshes are also known to be able to cause this. Both shouldn't be the case with my things though or you would definitely have experienced this issue way earlier already. One other thing that comes to mind would be the 1st-person skeleton got replaced by another mod. Then my scripts equipping the armblades, tailblades or whatever else requires its own custom bones would cause this as said bones would be missing.

Due to the image quality and the lack of recognizable features in it I can't really tell what exactly those meshes could be though. Their pitch-black color might point towards missing normalmaps/textures (sometimes missing normalmaps superrule so there's no purple but pitch-black or invisible instead), but it could as well be something just black-colored.

Does this issue persist when in 3rd-person also?
Is it only one equipment or rather some part of the body?
Is it coming from the player/you or is it something from the environment?

if it was part of the dragon race's bones could it be possible to check by methodically de-activating and re-activating the custom body parts, like, de-activate the arm blades, tail, feet and wings to check if it stops, then if it does, re-activate the one by one to see if it's anything in particular or just a congrigation of problems

That should be possible, but it might get a bit difficult to do on a running game.
You could use the config menu (or respective quest variables) to turn off the tail and the hands seperately, but you can't simply turn off the blades alone. However, when not showing the tail then there are no tailblades, and when showing human hands then there are no armblades. Keep in mind though, you need to equip/unequip something in the specific slot for any changes to have an effect. Especially equipping something in the tail slot is not the easiest of things to come by.

I disabled the newest of the mods I added to my already bloated list and it continued. I decided to just replace all of the meshes again and it seemed to fix everything. The problem only seemed to be in 1st person, however it crashed a few moments later either way. Everything is fine except the same small bug of lag when saving. No matter as it is only a few seconds. I guess that's what happens when one gets used to having games/programs run fast. :)

i found by starting a new game fixes the laggy save issue.

and to find some tail slots, i found an easy way was to download that wing mod on tesnexus, they have some wings that go into the tail slot

That only helps for a little while. It starts up again bout an hour in. It could be me and my bloated mod list. I've noticed that it stops if I start a new game w/o the dragon race enabled.

Edit 2/22/10:
I was tinkering with the new claws you have for the dragon race. I have to say they look quite good on Argonians. :)

Basically this should be achievable, but it will need a lot of converting, as they're not as similar as one might think. The most troublesome coming to mind would be converting my scripts. The meshes or textures should be the least trouble.

Anyways, I don't know anything about FO3 modding, so I'm definitely not the best person to answer this.

I talked to Fearil and I got the head mesh. With the black and red retex I did, I converted for use with the Robert/Breeze body. I tried scripting the mesh like is done for the Fox/Falco race, however whenever you aimed the head became off center until you reloaded a save. I really only work with the CS and GECK to some minor extent. Anything from scratch is sort of out of my league. The mesh itself is the old helmet mesh that was made that does not have any moving facial features. I can put it up on my 4shared. I just choose not to due to the most likely requests of having to edit the textures and what not to follow the setup of whatever body mod the player was using.

Anyways, it's up to you if you would like me to post it up. I know I still have the texture and mesh, all I really need to do is see if i still have the esp, if not then I could reproduce one fairly quickly. :) Just remember there wouldn't be any wings, tail, or modified feet.

it was just an idle thought, i was playing with some mods, running around beating the living **** out of mutants wearing an assortment of modded armour and thought it might be cool to have the dragon race in there, as there is like no race mods for FO3, (apart from that lombax one, but thats just a bit too wierd for me, leave that for ratchet and clank) :)

There is also the Geonox Alien Hybrid Race. Just search for it on the Fallout3Nexus. You will get the race and the retex that adds some comparability between some of the body mods.

nah, i don't really like that race, its not bad or anything, i just don't like it.

i also just really like drake's dragon race, i know it won't really fit with the fallout world, but then again, neither does the warhammer 40k armour. so i guess the point i'm trying to get across is.

i just want the race for the hell of it, no acual reason, so don't trouble yourslelf :)

Well, from my lore this would actually be very well possible. My dragons are very long-living creatures with all this white magic being their life source. The common lifespan of a dragon from my story is 3 millenia a.k.a. 3000 years. Drake was born around a time close before the middle ages and I even have stories of him in my mind where he's still protecting earth and mankind in secret in today's time... though I admit I don't consider these actual continuations of the story. However, the race itself was already deemed extinct, up to a point where mankind and others are in doubt it ever existed outside of fairy tales and myths, when Drake's story begins, but still at least a small group of them always manages somehow to survive somewhere secluded, waiting for the right time when they'll be most needed to come back and continue their duty in protecting all living beings. There's even a secret society of them hidden in a different plane of existance, a magical location impossible to be entered from outside or to leave, created from their ancestors they only know from myths themselves anymore, so whatever happens on earth, at least the race of dragons itself will survive for when it's time to come back and fulfill their duty... but shhh :whisper: it might spoil the story too much going on with that.

But you see there are ways for my dragons to survive even till after a nuclear armageddon... and honestly, what's a better time for the old evil, their arch-enemy, to come back and put an end to the little rest of mankind that's left after one? -_-

Man, now you've made me really want the Dragon Race in Fallout 3.

It's being uploaded to my 4shared as I type this. Please note that it is the old style bucket head mesh Drake had made at one time as in, it does not blink or anything. I set it up as a helmet right outside of the big Vault 101 door. The texture is compatible with the Breeze/Robert body. I have not edited any more textures as it takes a bit of time to modify it for Breeze's body.

This does not have tails, wings, claws, or the dragon feet mesh. If someone would like to convert those (with drake's permission) then either I can add em in, or if someone else wishes to modify the esp/file please feel free. Just credit/ask whoever needs to be contacted. :)

Edit:
I may not be on later as I was informed the power will be going out for 2 hours tonight. :(

You need blender. As for the textures you need to see how previous ones were done and do the same thing. When I made the dragon texture compatible with Breeze's mesh I had to "chop" up the texture and put the different pieces in their proper places so it would appear correctly.

I decided to mess on how shiny the dragon race could be.

I forgot to set my AA and AF so the golden/yellow dragon is more detailed.

Edit: I tried it out on the original colours
