Drawing distance

The Drawing Distance of Crysis 2 is incredible short.

It's quite annoying if you're aware of that objects get more detailed, some even change form, when you get closed to them. And you see objects materialize in out of nothing. It happens all over the screen, just watch closely on the trees, walls, ground stuff etc.

i have a hard time enjoying a game with crappy draw distance, and crappy visuals. for me it makes killing harder to do.

crappy visuals

The visuals arent bad! Wat u talking about?

Besides, if im in Multiplayer, i dont stand around looking for the slightest error in visuals or crappy graphics. I'll leave all the graphic admirings in campaign, Team instant action is for killing, not worring about silly things like ur "Drawing Distance." theory. :P

It's a mystery why they didn't use some of all that left over memory on the PC to just get rid of popping entirely.

It happened in the original so why the surprise?

Yes it is, the assets are made for 128/256 meg console memory. I have a hundred times that just lying around. They could abolish draw distance optimisation and LOD systems entirely and make zero difference to my perf.
