My dream Expansion PackDLC (WereBears!)

Post » Sun Jun 24, 2012 10:03 pm

My dream expansion pack would have a few things so I'll make this a list :)

-WereBears (most common Lycan in skyrim!)
-Somwhere AWAY from skyrim (I want a completely NEW environment not two new holds!
-Spears!
-Goblins!
-New Dragons
-in this area I want my decisions to truely mean something
-Deprive of us our previous items and leave us or skills! I want COMPLETELY NEW armor and weapons.
-Usable Boats ( I want to be a pirate )
-One handed Hammers

More soon!

I love the "in this area I want my decisions to truely mean something". Something that's missing completely from the main game

You know, I wonder if people actually read On Lycanthropy when they say that that werebears are the most common form of lycanthropy in Skyrim...

You do realise asking for WB's will likely get this thread locked right? lol.

I really don't see what people get out of having the ability to say "Hey! Look at me. I can turn into a fat, ugly bear!" And then go charging into people. Ridiculousness is what it is.

The rest would be nice to have. You can new armor and weapons if you join the Dawnguard. There is going to be one new type of dragon. And I have this gut feeling that lots of things such as spears and goblins will be Dawnguard, they've just done a good job at keeping it a secret.

Place far away from skyrim that has werebears?

Slightly off topic: am I the only one who thinks werebears is a bad idea? They wouldn't play much differently than werewolves. I think werewolves are all the lycanthropy we need.

I think it's a stupid request as well.

You're not alone. People say that werebears are the most common form of lycanthrope in On Lycanthropry but the author never encounters them.

Knowledge:

Lycanthrope (Lycanthropy): A Werewolf/the condition that makes one a Werewolf.

Base word: Lyca which derives from the Latin word; Lupus (Wolf)

Ursanthrope (Ursanthropy): A Werebear/the condition that makes one a Werebear.

Base word: Ursa which is the Latin word for a Bear.

Moral of this post: If one is a Werebear (or any other type of shape-changer that is not a wolf) then one does not have Lycanthropy.

In the elder scrolls, you are a lycanthrope no matter if you're a werewolf or a were vulture.

What if all the bears in skyrim, are really werebears?! And that's why there is so many.

Ever think about that?

Werebears would be interesting, as is the Hunting Grounds as a potential new DLC location. With also spears being added as a hunting weapon.

We need? This is a video game. It's not about necessity at all. Having Werebears would make things more fun and interesting for a ton of people. Who are you to say no?

No, your not. One were-creature is enough for me.
OP: Most of the other stuff would just be add-ons that come with a DLC, not an entire one. Personally I would be upset if they added a new lycan or an entire DLC on lycans.
There are already unresolved conflicts in Skyrim that need updating. Such as a Second Great War and more that currently escape my mind.

Oh come on man. Modders can make werebears, ask bethesda for something modders can't make, or would be very difficult to.

It would be awesome if bethesda included werebears in a expansion, but most likely not since people would whine about it and say "We alredy hav un xpanshon for duh shapshifers!!!".

If you haven't noticed Bethesda doesn't always follow the real world. Sure lyca means wolf and Ursa means bear, but the last time I checked there aren't any Latin or Greeks speakers in Nirn.
