dreams and nightmares

would you rather have a message telling you what went on during a sleep, a short clip or a slightly playable thing with limited control (for example, seeing a vampire, and when you try to run away you run at walking speed, and the vampire pins you down and svcks your blood, before decapitating you.

edit: by interactive dreams, i mean a varrying degree of controll, some should be letting the player only look around in a half life sort of thing- this would help add the effects of a player feeling powerless or mystified, whilst others could let the player walk and even fight

I liked the short clip the player got when transforming into a werewolf. So, I chose the short clip.

I vote for yes, but only if it's not a pop-up.
Text is enough as long as it's not too annoying.

Where is the option for all three? There should be more events that happen during sleep.

Dream quests would be awesome! Like a mini quest within the dream where you realize something that you can apply outside your dream.

Or, even better, the tutorial takes place within a dream before you wake up in your prison cell! In your dream you are all powerful with max stats and you do some ridiculous, yet short, dream quest. When you wake up though, you are on a ship headed to Morrowind with Jiub yappin at you ;)

I like that, really creative. You don't have to be powerful, because that's bit cliche but other than that I like the overall idea. :hubbahubba: :celebration:

I really like text, which could bring a series of pictures reresenting the text / dream in synthesis. Or could be a clip with text.

text, on the basis that it'd be easier to make 50 different dreams this way than to do 50 pre-rendered cinematics.

I wouldn't mind some illustrations (still art), though. Or something like what was done in http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J7jeUwxLX2s.

Interactive dreams would be great, but they would have to be limited to happen only during certain quests. other than that text is good to describe vampire dreams and such.

INTERACTIVE VAMPIRE DREAMS WOULD SCARE THE [censored] OUT OF YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

imagine going to bed, finding yourself on a hil with some kind of stonehenge esq thing, and hooded figures surrounding you, you run and find out that you are running slowly, very slowly, a hooded figure crawls over to you and takes you to a stone alter, and the figure bites your eye- you wake up.

or you walk into a house, a child is playing by the fireside. the parents come in and tie you to a table, were they torture you (the child helps) afterwards they throw you into the fire and you wake up

anything realy messed up would be awsome
