Dreams of the Fire

yay every one is on again!... well almost every one.

Charon is loving his DB armour and loves his moonlit nights in the cold air as he beads his arrow on the heads of bandits.

anyways we could keep the story going as is very easily. Just make it so that the dragons are being covered up by the Thalmor (AD) and it is before the canon game. The Thalmor are trying to cover it all up to maintain a tight control over things so that they can try to play both sides of the field (i dont want to spoil this for any of you incase you didnt know something about Ulfrich
Spoiler
he actually works for the Thalmor and is a "dormant agent" of theirs and the whole civil war was their doing to weaken the empire
) without anything else (the dragons) throwing things out of their control.

I'm not quite sure how you manage to cover up a whole city almost getting razed to the ground by dragons.
I think we'll either go with Gaius' Dragon Break idea or have it so that everyone forgets for some reason at the end of the main plot apart from the main characters. Unless you can come up with a way for the Thalmor to cover it up so it makes sense?

lol easy, we do what all tyrants that want something covered up do. Come up with an alternate excuse for what happened and make those who say otherwise disappear.

They would force the empire (pretty sure the Stormcloaks would not completely exist at this point) to force the Jarls to say that it was a freak occurance of Cliff Racers that attacked the city. Of course their would be those who would step forward and say otherwise, but one by one they would just disappear of have an accident.

Hm...I guess that could work, but I'm still leaning towards a more permanent solution. Partially because it's one thing saying that Cliff Racers attacked the city, but how exactly would the city be rebuilt? It's Windhelm, oldest city in Skyrim. I guess the solution could work though...
Maybe we should have a vote or something.

yes Windhelm. The city that is under the rule of Ulfric.... who works for the Thalmor. I think a man with his determination and iron fist could make it happen.

Dragon Breaks have caused far stranger things, and are rarely remembered, except by the people who were directly involved...

I'm leaning more towards the Dragon Break solution. The Thalmor Replacement Solution (TRS) just doesn't sit right with me for some reason.

Ahh, the rewards of reading all the books of Daggerfall, Morrowind, Oblivion, and Skyrim. You get to learn tiny, meaningless facts about something which has absolutely no relevance to the real world...

:tes:

Uuuugh, the Daggerfall Biography of Queen Barenziah still gives me nightmares... :poke: <-- (A... censored version of the event) I will never look at her the same way again...

It makes the Lusty Argonian Maid seem tame...

lol she did get around didnt she?

maybe the Dragon Break would be better. Hmmm i wonder if we could kind of do both? have the Thalmor freaking out over this outbreak of dragons and trying to keep a tight leash on things, which could lead them to thinking that our characters have something to do with it since they always seem to be their when it happens, and then they target them. so then our characters would have to worry about the Thalmor, Dragons, Quirinus, and Vivec. I would love to see how we tie something like that all together for it all to end with it all forgotten. Though i think it would be pretty cool if they were the only ones who remember it.

Yeah, that sounds good. I like the ideas you guys came up with.

I love Skyrim. Only DB questline left.

meh didnt effect me none. just wish i knew the best way to take out his cousin in the wedding when i did it. nope came up from behind on the balcony and slit her throat. i then jumped into the confusion below and ran, but was caught by the guards... then i escaped from prison but was caught in the main lobby of the palace and now have a 100 bounty in Solitude. I'll get around to paying it off.... one day.

semi on topic

I wonder if our characters are the reason the sect of DB in skyrim is the last?

I did a very similar method to you, only I stabbed her in front of everyone as she spoke, after announcing who I was, then I massacred the entire party.

Yeah, my DB character is rather... evil.

Sounds like a plan.
Who's writing the final battle scene then? I guess I could write it unless someone else wants to do it.

Name: Ja'rohn
Gender: Male
Race: Khajiit
Age: 28
Birthsign: The Thief

Bio: There is not much to say about Ja'rohn, he was raised by his father, a blacksmith, and a Skooma addicted mother in a house near Solitude. He lived a largely uneventful life for the most part.

He is a quiet person but when speaking he is sly, being able to get his way easily with a few sharp words. This is useful as he trades a lot, bartering with people almost every day.

His trade is as a blacksmith. Trained by his father, a respected blacksmith, Ja'rohn is an adept blacksmith, making daggers and shortswords as a speciality. A few members of the Dark Brotherhood took note of this and now Ja'rohn acts as one their main suppliers of weaponry.

But he is bored. He loves his work but longs to feel the finest snow between his paws, the finest clothing and armor upon his body, the finest air in his lungs. It had been a long time since he had been outside of the Solitude area.

An idea formed in his head. At first he thought it was ridiculous but the more he went over it the more he started to like it. He decided one day to take his leave and travel to Riften by foot. During this time he enjoyed all the delights he longed more and more. Arriving at Riften he feels slightly saddened but hopeful, as he looks forward to meeting new people and new experiences.

He stands at the city, pondering what will happen.

Hopefully that's good. I haven't role-played Skyrim but I have role-played elsewhere.

If I am accepted could you give me a brief outline of the happenings and plot?

Err I guess my name Colour will be Orange

EDIT: Fast travels to Whiterun, didn't realize you guys are actually in Whiterun. Derp.

Ja'rohn stepped into the city, nodding to the guard as he entered. Even though he wanted to be out in the mountains and forests, it was blowing something fierce and he was hungry and weary.

He made his way to the local inn and entered. The local guard unit was celebrating something that he suspected it was related to the man that was at the centre of the group. He began to walk to the other side of the inn, which was much quieter and settled than the latter, when a particulary over-watered guard grabbed his arm. Even though the man was simply supporting himself, Ja'rohn couldn't help but pull away slightly. He was not a fan of drunken humans.

The man looked at him and Ja'rohn was thankful the hood hid most of his face. It wasn't enough to fully hide his appearance.

The man looked at him with a blank glazed look then smiled broadly.

"Aren't you a big kitty cat!" The man said, in a shrill voice.

The man let go of him and began to laugh so Ja'rohn decided to leave him.

Seated at the far end of the bar he turned to bartender, who was cleaning out a glass.

I would like to rent a room.

The bartender nodded and said "It's usually 50 but there's no way I'm letting any of them ruin them, enjoy your discount. 30 gold."

Ja'rohn nodded in thanks, paying the man before leaving the bar to rest in his newly acquired room.

He opened the door with the key provided and dumped his stuff into the chest at the end of the bed. He laid down on the bed, trying to rest but the guards seemed to have livers made of metal as they kept drinking through the night.

Frowning, Ja'rohn said slowly I can't wait till morning... allowing himself a small chuckle at the thought of the cities guards having to stand in the cold with a hangover.

nvm, I was a little... tipsey at the time. I just went out with my buddies and we had a little bit of... fun. Our football team just won the biggest game in its history, so I was a little excited, and in fact, I still am...

So are we just skipping the final battle? What about Quirinus? what happened with him coming in to stomp the dragon and the undead army around it?

I don't know, I was trying to get the new guy involved. I think we should do the battle, but I wanted to get him involved, and I am too swamped to write a battle scene, so someone else would need to do it, and it felt like we were stalling there. Sorry to play GM, but I sort of think that we should write it, or just have it be mysterious...

Also, I was drunk...

lol no problem i was wasted the other night myself. Not sure if i want to write it because it will be very focused on Quirinus. Haven't attempted him yet and i dont think i would pull him off as well as i can do Soul's characters.
