not sure, mine puts them together, yours separates them, the only thing with yours is it was a little out of place for Charon to ditch her, he would have stayed and fought with her or help her escape like he did in mine.

but i have to get ready for work so i cant stay.... what every ya'll choose im fine with.

The tripped guards surrounded the exhausted Belan, who reached for his sword.

Don't even think about it. You are under arrest for interfering with the pursuit of a criminal. Pay the court a fine, or serve your sentence!

I am currently in Riften on a mission. I apologize, but I am unable to comply with your request.

Ugh, you Dunmer are more trouble than you are worth. Just go back to you refugee camp, and we'll forget this ever happened.

Belan pulled out his katana and grabbed the guard, and held his sword to the man's throat.

If I didn't have any restraint, you would be dead by now. You are lucky. Now, why don't you just walk back home, and forget you ever saw me?

Charon looked over his shoulder to see the fallen Dunmer trip up a few of the guards. Thank you brother, I hope we meat again so I can thank you.

They rounded a corner into a narrow alley that dead ended.

Now we fight?

No, now we go up. Do as I do.

He ran up the building on the left by 3 steps and pushed off catching the bottom of a window seal. He pushed up and grabbed the top framed of the window, adjusted and pushed up again and grabbed the low roof, pulling himself on top of it.

Your such an assasin!

Bard's tales!

She followed his foot steps, though clumsy they were she made her way up to the top of the window. He reached down and helped her up, and they began to run across the roof top and jumped to the next building.

Does this make me an assassin?

Far from it.

Charon ran across the rooftops. A flash in the corner of his eye was all the warning he had until a burly imperial crashed into him, pinning him to the roof. A kick sent Faire off the roof and into a snowbank below. A split second later, an arrow flew where Charon had been, and would have killed him had he hadn't been tackled.

Get off of me!

Not until you break my curse, son of Boethiah.

Charon was shocked as he saw a pair of cuffs materialize on the man's wrists.

How did you...

Do not take me for a fool. I know the Ebony mail and Goldbrand when I see them. These are cuffs enchanted by Boethiah. Everyday, they sap my strength. In a week, I won't have the strength to lift an ale. Two weeks, and my arms will be unable to be lifted. Then it will spread. In a month, I will be unable to stand, in two months, I will not have the strength to breath and I will die. Again I say, free me from my curse!

*I try and remember what Charon said about the wall jumping and climb back up the wall. I go slow as not to alert the guy who pushed me off*.
*I listened to the man talk to Charon about Boethiah. I pop my head over the top of the roof*. You know, it was pretty rude of you to push me off the roof. *I climb back up, hastily getting ready for another attack by the man. I draw my swords*. Let the assassin go, drunkard, or I'll cut your balls off. *I turn to Charon* Aw man, that was my first threat! Was it cool enough for an assassin?

*Charon sighed*. Assassins don't make threats, Faire. We kill people.
Suuuure you don't. *I turn back to the drunk*. So, big guy, you ready?

Bold threats for an old man. If you kill me, my men here would kill you before you could even think of escaping.

Right, then.

Belan threw the man into the group of guards then he ran after the imperial and the girl.

He turned the corner, and saw the two of them faced off with the drunkard from the tavern.

Rather than face him, Belan slinked into the shadows, and escaped the guards on his tail.

A knife whizzed towards the drunkard, but he dodged it with military precision, as if trained.

Are you ready?

Several guards now surrounded them, swords drawn. The cuffs on the drunkard's hands had disappeared, and it just seemed like he'd just stopped the rogue killer. Faire turned to try to fight them off, but a single strike to the head with a sword pommel and she was unconscious. Two guards grabbed her, and the rest grabbed Charon and disarmed him. They handed the drunkard a small sack of gold. He grinned, and looked as if he was drunk again. As the guards took them away, the drunkard followed them, keeping a safe distance. When he saw that they were taken inside, he turned to a young boy standing nearby.

I want them in the tunnels, unarmed, by midnight. Tell your Doyen.

Faire awoke in the cell, hands cuffed. Charon was across from her, unconscious. This wasn't going to be easy.

Belan followed the guards back to their headquarters, and after a little work, broke into the facility.

Great, just great. I finally get away from my village because...because...why did I get away from my village?
*I tried to remember, but I could only draw a blank*. I guess I left because it was boring. And now I'm stuck in a cell with the worst assassin in the world! *I kicked one of the bars in frustration. It held strong*.

You know, I kind of resent that. Even the best assassin in the world would have had trouble getting out of that one.
*I looked at Charon, who had now managed to get his handcuffs off. Looks like he was only feigning unconciousness*. Right. Mind giving me a hand here?
Oh? But what could the worst assassin in the world do for you? I'm just a clumsy oaf who messes up everything, right?
Hey! I never said that!
*Charon gave a light chuckle as he opened his cell door*. I kid, I kid. I'll help you out.
Charon started working on Faire's door when light footsteps could be heard from down the corridor.
Looks like we've got company. Don't worry, I'll be right here. *he melted into the shadows with expert precision*.
*I nodded*. Hey, you, down the corridor! You're clumsy footsteps woke me up! I hope you're happy.

Edit: Actually, those are pretty compatible. Let's say your post happens after mine, Gaius.

The footsteps got louder and faster, and suddenly Charon saw the Dunmer at the door.

Shut up! I'm trying to get you out of here.

Faire heard a sound like machinery working. Her lock clicked and the door swung open. She was puzzled for all but one second. A trapdoor opened beneath her, and she fell through the air, landing in a large bale of hay. More sounds of machinery, and the light above her was extinguished and she was left in perfect darkness.

*I sputtered out bits of hay*. Eurgh, I've had just about enough of falling today. *I tried my best to call on my old magic training and let out a tiny light spell that barely illuminated my face*. Well, maybe I can't see, but I sure can smell. Seems like I'm in or near a sewer.
*I hear footsteps from behind me*. Who goes there?

Fine. I choose living, so I will follow you.
The men escorted her further down in the tunnel. Strangely, they didn't seem to be carrying a light source, but knew perfectly where they were going.
Hm, what would Charon do in this situation?
A rain of arrows flew from seemingly nowhere, narrowly missing Faire. All the men were dead.
Oh, that's right! Charon would use a rain of arrows to- Wait a minute, Charon? How did you get down here?
It turned out that the Dunmer knew quite a lot about these sewers. Come on, we've got to get out of here before they send more out to find you.
But it's not me they want, it's-
You.
Amiel and several men in similar garb to the knife men before had entered from a side passage. The only way out would be forward.

lol i think you got Charon pretty spot on Soul.... Faire is still sixteen right? Trying to get a better image of her in my head.

Charon and Belan jumped down from the higher tunnel they were in, landing close to Faire. Charon tossed her belt that was rapped around her sheathed swords. Catch kid!

She caught them, I'm not a kid! Try not to get knocked out this time.

Charon unsheathed Gold Brand and with both hands on the hilt brought it close to his chest with the blade pointing up, anticipating any attack to come.

What is it you want from me? Why do you insist on attacking me? And how the hell do you know of my lineage when I just discovered it myself not long ago?

Faire bucked the belt around her waist and then drew both swords, Yeah...... what he said!

You say your name is Charon, imperial? Quirinus Latartus holds you in great regards. Any friend of his is a friend of mine.

Stand back. This is my turn. You should run now. I am not sure I can defeat all of them.

Belan unsheathed his daedric katana, and stepped in front of Charon and Faire. He muttered something which sounded like a prayer, and then stared into the eyes of the armed men before him.

I don't want to fight you. And you really shouldn't want to fight me.

I have been practicing with a sword since before your great grandfathers were even born. I have survived countless battles, and fought my way out of Argonian occupied Morrowind. You do not want to fight me. Leave now, and I will let you live. I am no mere Dark Elf, I am a Dunmer!

Thanks, my last attempt with the non-canon part was pretty shabby. I tried to keep him closer to his previous appearances.
Yup, Faire is still sixteen, since this isn't very far after what happened to her town. For some reason however, she's forgotten about what happened though. Straw blonde hair tied in a ponytail, currently wearing a brown trench coat type thing with leggings. Her swords are only iron at the moment.

You know, I'm wondering when I actually get to fight here. Don't get me wrong, being saved by heavily armed men all day is great, but I'm kinda feeling like the damsel in distress in this tale.
Fighting isn't the only option, kid. Sometimes running is the best thing you can do.
Charon jumped off left wall to land over the fighting men.
*He turned back to Faire*. Give it a go, kid.
Argh, for the last time, I'm not a kid! *I use the anger to propel myself forward, jumping a little lower than Charon and using one of the thugs as a landing pad*.
Leaving so soon? *Amiel stood in front of Charon, blocking the path*.
Yes. *he threw a strange powder, casting a small fire spell while firing it.* Look away Faire!
Arrgh! My eyes! Where are you assassin, I'll strangle you myself!
Amiel flailed about a little, blindly trying to hit Charon.
Come on, let's go. *he hurried around the corner* Thank you again, brother. I will repay the favour, I promise.
*I begin to follow Charon, but stop to see Amiel on the ground, still flailing about. I kick him in the stomach*. That's for all the trouble, jerk! *I run after Charon*.

I've had just about enough of shackles today as well! You're lucky I don't have time to deal with you, you...fat drunk! *I get up, dodge a second attempt by Amiel to trip me up and follow Charon*.
Come on, kid. I've found a trapdoor, we can get out to the surface this way.
*I look for Charon and see him atop a mound a collapsed stone. There was an old damp trapdoor above him.* Coming! *I climb as quickly as I can, being careful to not trip over.* Not having useable hands kind of svcks, Charon. Were there any famous assassins with no hands?
*Charon heaved with all his might, pushing open the trapdoor and jumping, climbing up and over*. Not that I know of. Grab my hand, Faire.
*I look down at my shackles, trying to break free*. And how do you propose I do that?
Those shackles are just a metaphor for a lack of strength. If you concentrate, you can transfer them to something else. *He looked down, and saw Amiel striding forwards, rubbing the last of the dust from his eyes*. Hurry!
*I close my eyes and think. Where else but hands? What else represents a lack of strength? A lack of freedom? Wait...*

A flash of red light came from the shackles as they changed form. A slave collar made of the same material appeared on Faire's neck.
*I jump as high as I can, but just miss Charon's hand. I begin to fall...*
Charon extended his reach, grabbing her just in time.
I've got you. *he grabbed her other hand, pulling her up over the trapdoor, and closing it. The trapdoor landed with a thud*.
*I see a nearby sack of grain and attempt to lift it*. It's no good, Charon. The collar is sapping my strength!
*He nodded, helping her lift the sack over to the trapdoor, dropping it on top.*
Not bad thinking, kid. That sack won't keep him contained forever, though. We've got to keep moving.
*I collapse on the floor, breathing deeply in and out*. Don't you ever get tired?
I try not to. Let's go *he pulled Faire up*.
They were in an alley, that much was certain. It lead two ways, one way to a brothel, the other to the main street. The sky could be seen above them. It was around late morning from the looks of things. The street was full of people going about their daily business.
Where do we go, Charon?

Can you write the next bit please, Charon?

A sly smile shot across his face, though it was blocked by the cloth that hid the lower half of his face she was sure he was smiling. To the brothel!

Umm, Charon this is not the time to want to satisfy your lust.

It's not like that. The trap door started to bang. It wont be much longer before they force it open we need to leave now.

They ran down the alley that ended at a tall wall with stone stares coming from it. They went up the stairs which led to a open area that was probably a garden during warmer months. A tall building sat about 50 yards away, it was a beautiful house that looked like it could have been a luxurious inn. A sign just out side the font door called it "Valina's Place". They ran across the field, the snow was thick and there were patches of ice in some places.

Faire fell face first in the snow, Charon turned and ran back to her. I just cant run anymore Charon, I'm so tired.

He nodded and picked her up in his arms and carried her the rest of the way. When they made it to the front porch he asked, Can you stand? Yeah, I think. He sat her down, her legs were wobbly but she stood. He put his arm under hers and held her by her side to steady her, I got ya kid. Not at kid. He knocked on the door and a few seconds latter a sultry voice answered as the door opened, Welcome to Valina's where all you dreams do come..... Charon? CHARON! It is you! The young woman with brunet hair and blue eyes busted through the door and hugged him around the neck. I didn't know you were so popular with the..... ladies. Not what you think Faire.

Its good to see you too Fifi. I need to get to my room, you may have visitors coming. She nodded and held her hand out to the open door, she looked at Faire I'm sorry Charon but she is much to young to work here. Faire looked at her dumbfounded. Ha, no Fifi we got in a bit of trouble together. Well I would imagine so, she is way to young for you. Fifi, your since of humor never fails.

Once they were inside Fifi Shouted up the stairs Madam Valina! You have a visitor! A door opened and out walked a older woman (probably in her 30's) wearing a dress that looked like it belonged on a countess and red hair stepped out and started down the stairs. By the gods, I thought I'd never see you again..... I assume you are here though because you need to hide? You would be correct Valina. *Sigh* this way then. She led them around the side of the stair case and twisted a candelabra to the left and pushed. The sound of clicking could be heard and the wood paneling sank in and then to the side. Just in side was smooth stone and a stair way that led down. Charon helped Faire into the room to go down the stairs. Valina's hand came to his shoulder, How many? I'm not sure, more than a dozen. How long do we have? Any time now. She smiled, Dont worry Charon my girls will show them a good time. He laughed at her wit, I'm sure they will. You know you can injoy our services at no charge. I know but you know me. Yes, yes I do.You'd best be going.

They made it down the stairs which led to a door, Charon opened it and inside was a room full of clothes on racks. Polished metal ligned the walls. What is this place? This building used to be a high society inn, but then times went hard and it became a brothel, I befriended Valina when I "took care" of the owner who was abusing them. After he was gone she assumed the head of house hold. It's been good for them ever since. This room used to be the actors rooms where they would get ready to preform on stage. Now quickly look throught the clothes and find you some that are unassuming and go change into them. When you are done take one of the sacks over there and put your gear in it, weapons on top. When we're done we will continue down this passage which will lead to a cave hidden by another secret door, the cave will exit near the town just outside Riften.

She was strong enough to stand and walk on her on again and began looking through the clothes. How about this? That belongs on a countess, which is not unassuming. She looked some more and finnaly found some nice cothes that would be considered middle class. Ok i have this.... She saw that Charon had already removed his hood, face mask and upper armour. He was handsome, he had medium lenght black hair and smooth face that looked like it belonged to a pure blood noble. His body was solid and muscular. What she couldnt stop staring at thogh were the scars that were on his chest, stomach and back. He saw her staring. He smiled to himself, The price of my trade.

Belan was losing. He couldn't beat all of his enemies, but he was giving them the fight of his life.

Several of Amiel's goons laid on the floor dead, but there were still seven more to fight.

Then , on of them cut his hand, and Belan fell to his knees.

Belan heard footsteps behind him, and then he heard Amiel speak.

Now, you will lead us to Charon and Faire.

No, I will not.

You will, whether you want to or not.

He was bond and gagged, and then he was knocked unconcious.

But just before everything turned dark, he thought he could see an Argonian attack Amiel's guards.
