DRM free GOG sale for F4?

Post » Sat Nov 28, 2015 12:36 am

I have a feeling that it will not happen but i would love to buy Fallout 4 from GOG... love the new galaxy app. Also, that would require Beth guys to not have drm but i doubt it would happen.

PS: Cant wait the game!!! :)

I doubt it, all Bethesda Softworks' games have been pretty tightly integrated with Steam lately.

Though they might want to seem a little less bedfellowy after that whole "Let's let people make money from mods. And those people will be mostly us instead of those who made them!"

As we all saw from Witcher 3, being good to your fans pays off! So, i bet at this point the problem is that devs/publishers are so used to drm that they cant seem to give it up...

It not allways pays off... Look at Paradox Interactive and Crusader Kings II. Because a loud minority in the forum they made a DRM free version of CKII on GamersGate. Seperat from the DRM version on steam. They had two entirely seperate versions of the game because of this. And at the end less than 3 % of the players used the DRM free version. At the end Paradox shut down the DRM free version because it takes to much extra efforts. And they give a Steam Code to everyone who owned the game on GamersGate.

So no... it not allways pays off.

Speaking of Crusader Kings II, I'm looking forward to the next expansion...it'll tide me over until Fallout 4.
