Drop Lit Torches OBSE

http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=16282

The ini file itself takes some thinking about at first. There are no clear instructions included.

I don't completely understand these lines:

set addtorchkey.weight to -1 ; Set to a value greater than -1 to force torches to a particular weight (default 0)
set addtorchkey.gold to -1 ; Set to a value greater than -1 to force torches to a particular gold cost (default 0)
set addtorchkey.radius to -1 ; Set to a value greater than -1 to force radius of torches to a particular value (default 784)

I want the torch to weigh 1, like it is in http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=13448, and to try and experiment with the radius. It seems the default is way short compared to the BDLTW or something. I can't tell
unless I can change the radius and see if it brightness or radius. I set the weight to 1, torch is still 0. I set the radius all the way up to 2000 from 800 and didn't notice a difference.

set addtorchkey.weight to -1 : means that if you do not change it the game will use the default i.e. (default 0)
So you need to have:
set addtorchkey.weight to 1 ; for the torch to weigh 1#
set addtorchkey.gold to -1 ; for the torch to be worth 0
set addtorchkey.radius to 1024 ; for the torch radius to be 1024

make sure you have the 'DropLitTorchHotkey.ini' in the data folder.

EDIT: replaced correct with data

Got the torches to weigh properly but the radius doesn't seem to look different. I still can't see farther in the light.

The ini is installed where it should be.

I put a crazy number like 5000 and no light difference.

Possibly you got a nonconforming torch in your inventory. Lose all your torches you are carrying and find a brand spanking new one in a barrel in a cave somewhere.

For example, for me the first torch I find just stepping down the first stairs when Uriel comes through my cell is not an ordinary torch.
But if the torch hot-button works then you should get the right radius. Does it equip when you press 0 (zero)?

I got the radius to work. It just needed to be a new torch to receive the new parameters.
Reading the related files readme's (the original DLT, etc), to my understanding, it seems like NPCs are not supposed to have DLT laying around?
Every time one of those assassins died that had a torch, they dropped a DLT which all are zero weight.
Should that be happening?
