Drugs and Drug Effects in Skyrim

It's not going to be implemented in the game now if it hasn't already.

I loved how in fable when you drank the screen actually had a shaky drunk affect to it. Even when you walked your character stumbled a bunch and controlling him was difficult. That would be amazing to see that in this game, running into a fight wasted trying to swing your weapon around.

I want to become a drug dealer who sneaks into people's houses, puts skooma in all of their drinks so that half the town is addicted.

Or sneaking something like skooma into an opponents drink the night before an Arena fight.

Don't need more than moon sugar and skooma IMO, but they should be addictive and have negative effects when you go to long without it. Shoud also be possible to cure yourself(f.ex. by visiting a healer or something).

i wan't drugs but not like one's that give you just like bleerd vision or somthin i wan't drus that will in one way give you a littel boost for a limatied time so for exampel increace you strength or magic detect the undead icrease stelth or whatever but the drugs should al;so have bad side efects so for exapel i take apill that icreaces my strength but withbthat also my helth goes down so you got to balence up do i have enougth helth to take this or not

remember the flooz or the floot or the flew or something you know the green stuff you get from spiders in shivering isles it had effects if you didnt take it regulary something like that would be kewl

Skooma, Moon Sugar and Tobbaco we dont need anything else it would both go against the lore and make the game look bad on the public side. Skyrim is not trying to shock audiences its trying to be a good game and thats a pretty useless feature

Apples were laced in oblivion.

It's a great idea, i started the topic last week but havent read it since, so i guess people started talking about real life drug use.
Visual effects is what i would like to see. And the ability to buy people beer (would be easier then to pickpocket them)
Or maybe you could smoke some pond-weed, get stoned and eat a wild deer.

ya but out of all those herbs and potion type things, none of them have visual side effects. now in a game that realistic, dont you think some herbs will make your brain under the influence?

I'd like it if they included making drugs out of alchemical ingredients found around skyrim, alchemy would be a great way to implement it into the game

Todd hinted in his latest interview that they have some "really cool stuff"planned for Alchemy, maybe we will see this revealed at E3.

I think there are going to be some cool poison, potion and drug/alcohol effects, as well as a much improved Alchemy crafting system.

Maybe we will be able to find the recipe for Skooma somewhere when looting a dead Khajiit.

I don't see recreational drug use being a major part of Skyrim. Skooma and alcohol would be nice, though. Better yet would be an addiction - but that would put the game dangerously close to AO rating territory.

I do hope that poisons are a bigger part of the game, though. Sneaking in and replacing the guards regular food with poisoned food would be an awesome way to get past a tough area. This was possible in Oblivion, but underused. I'm hoping it gets more play in Skyrim.
