I love shot guns and I love drum magazines . dose any one know if their is or has a link to some info for any info plizz post.

good question, i have no idea but i wanna know the answer. im leaning towards yes just because they seem to have done a pretty good job of not gimping or giving an advantage to any one playstyle. besides sniping, but who cares? besides snipers, but who cares about them

I know there are shotguns and a I know there are drum mags. I see no reason why not.

I wouldn't see a problem if the shotguns had a RoF (Rate of Fire) cap. Kind of like what I was saying to the semi-automatic short rifle.

Remember, Splash Damage is going for game balance.

The heavy shotgun has a rotating magazine of sorts, as it is based off of this weapon; but the Medium shotgun is tube fed, and thus can not use magazines.

Although i wouldn't recommend it, the drum mags can be prone to jamming. Ther is also the Pancor Jackhammer that kinda has a drum mag

On a pump shotgun I can't see a reason. If we are talking auto-shotties you might get an extended mag but not a drum mag.....

But those are both completely different guns than whats in the game. There's an SRM-1216 and a M1014.

I know that just pointing out some other drum fed shotguns, although most semi-auto or full-auto ones can use drum mags.

Correction, most Magazine fed shotguns can have a drum magazine. But most shotguns are tube fed, because shotgun shells are so large that magazines aren't very practical outside of military applications, where being able to swap a new mag in quickly is important.

Both of the shotguns in Brink are tube fed, with the SRM-1216 having a unique rotating tube/magazine. If you wanted to fit more ammo into the gun, you would need a longer tube as an attachment.

This is the kind of magazine you would need in order to use a drub mag on a shotgun.

This is the gun in the game. Its more like a revolver shotgun than a magazine shotgun. It has 4 tubes that can be rotated into place, so it can hold 4 times more ammo than a normal shotgun of equal length. Thy cylinder can be swapped out quickly for a full one much like a revolver can, but it would be impossible to have a large drum mag with this design.

in past games people were cheap with the shotgun because it was a one shot kill up close but i like how brink makes it to where you need multiple shots to kill a person

He's talking about the guy on the far left, not the middle. The guy on the left looks like he's holding a Garund AR. It might not be the Garund, but that's an AR. Not a shotgun.
