Drunken Distortion

I'm for choice number 1 myself.
Getting drugged out for days in a skooma haze, killing a bunch of tie-died cartoon-ducks with a club. Then waking up sober in prison for murdering a family of wood elves.

I also voted for number one. FO had a little bit of this, where you could get addicted to things - I thought that was a great touch of realism. Still, it would be even more realistic if, after drinking a few too many beers, your character's ability to do things is severely impeded, and things might be seen as through beer goggles. Skooma and Hist effects could be even radder, but I doubt the appearance of any of this in Skyrim. I would like to be see it someday, though.

I'm all for passing out, then waking up penniless in the street without your clothes and only 25% health remaining.

I recall a portion of The Witcher main quest where you had to get so completely hammered in a drinking match that you became incapacitated, ultimately choosing to which woman's house you wanted your friends to drop you off at that night...only to get yelled at and nagged by the evil woman while still in blurrycam mode for getting so drunk and staying out so late, of course.

I think I staggered through most of my New Vegas playthrough constantly drinking whiskey for the carry weight and popping pills, always addicted to at least one chem or another (only in-game, of course).

Not until youve drunk at least half a keg please... I'm tired of video game characters that get totally wasted with 3-4 drinks. And thats basically something thats in the game just for kicks. (I'm fine with it, but really not important) I'd rather have more customization than some bogus animation that I'll do only once just to see it like everyone else.

Does anyone know whether Skooma is hallucinogenic or not? I don't think it is but I could be mistaken. I do think that drug induced impairments are cool and have always wanted them. I remember getting GTA4 and getting drunk and then struggling to get to a cab. I would like a similar thing to happen in Skyrim but not as pronounced. I think it would be awesome to watch a fight break out in a tavern between two drunk nords who tumble down onto the floor with each missed swing.
