Well Zalphon, no matter how much you try, this will likely always be known as a laughing stock, despite your efforts in include CS' into the RP. I saw your last post in thread 4, and it was probably the longest ever seen in this, dare I say it, 'roleplay'. Maybe if you kept that up, along with all the other RPers in this, The Drunken Dragon Inn may be deemed respectable.

Name: Lemunde Fiere

Race: Dunmer

Biography: Lemunde was born and raised in Leyawiin. His mother had passed on when he was still young and his father was a fisherman and devout worshiper of Almalexia. His father wanted nothing more than to raise Lemunde to be an upstanding member of society and to follow in his footsteps and join him in his business when he came of age. But that was not to be.

One day while Lemunde was playing outside with his friends, an Orc boy came up to him and started making trouble. Apparently the Orc had been prejudiced against all Dunmer in general and went out of his way to make their lives miserable. He shoved Lemunde, spouted obscene insults and spat in his face. In that moment, Lemunde forgot all the teachings of his father about mercy and forgiveness. He lunged at the Orc with all his strength, knocking both of them to the ground. The scuffled for a bit, the Orc being stronger but Lemunde fueled by his rage. For a moment, Lemunde managed to gain the upper hand. He used that opportunity to grab a nearby rock and slammed it hard against the Orc's head. He hit him again and again with the rock until, finally he stopped moving. The Orc was dead.

It was his father's faith alone that stopped him from killing Lemunde when he discovered what had happened. He hid the body, gave Lemunde what little money he had and pushed him in the direction of Leyawiin's eastern gate. Lemunde was now dead to him.

Lemunde spent the next few years wandering Blackwood and The Valus Mountains, surviving off the land and avoiding confrontations with people. Every once in a while he would come across a man, clad in black and speaking with a dark voice. The man would offer to take him into his family but Lemunde always sensed a deep foreboding about him and always refused.

As Lemunde entered advlthood, his travels brought him further east into his people's homeland of Morrowind. He started becoming more accustomed to approaching and speaking with people again. He discovered that at the heart of Morrowind in the province of Vvardenfell was a magnificent city called Vivec. It sounded to Lemunde like a decent enough place to find work and try to get his life back on track.

When he arrived at Vivec he began searching for employment. Still being unaccustomed to speaking to people, everyone he approached turned him away, sensing something uneasy about him. Lemunde searched every street, every canton, but no one would hire him. He was about to give up hope when he happened upon a door that appeared out of place. Curious, he made his way inside. After several twists and turns he came upon what appeared to be a guild. As if waiting for his arrival, a Dunmer approached him and welcomed him into the Morag Tong.

Over the next few years, Lemunde made his living doing what he does best. He received many honorable writs of execution and 'executed' them efficiently. Some of the writs would take him beyond the borders of Vvardenfell, where such writs were not allowed by law. Given Lemunde's knowledge of the area beyond the Volus Mountains, his superiors felt he could execute such writs discretely.

It was during one of his travels to execute such a writ that he stopped at an inn called The Drunken Dragon to stay for the night...

Zalphon stepped in the inn with his bodyguard, seen a dunmer (the nord one was killed) bartender who smiled and waved. A scout was in the corner, next to the hearth was a mage warming up. At the tavern counter was a legion soldier who said calmly, "Ah, I love this stuff."

Zalphon put down some gold and said to the bartender, "Flin for me. For Quicky, lets get him some mazte."

The bartender nodded and said politely, "Yessir."

Outside, bones were everywhere, along with corpses of altmer, breton, dunmer, imperials, and undead of unknown origin. Quick-Strike sipped his mazte and said unemotionally, "Zalphon, are you sure it is safe here."

Zalphon nodded, "Just keep me safe, don't do anything stupid and we'll be fine."

Lemunde walked up to the doorway of the Drunken Dragon glancing at the bones and corpses scattered around with mild curiosity. As he walked through the door several people turned to look at him, sizing him up before returning to their drinks. Lemunde took a moment to take in the room then walked up to the bar.

"Sujamma...", he spoke to the bartender, placing a few coins on the counter. The bartender fished a bottle and a glass out of a nearby cabinet, poured some of the liquor into the glass and left them both sitting in front of him before going back to his business. Lemunde reached for the glass and took sip. He glanced around at the other people at the bar. A legion soldier, an Argonian and another Dunmer. The Argonian and the Dunmer seemed to have arrived together and they both looked nervous. Lemunde smiled to himself and took another drink.

"Bartender...!" He called. The bartender walked back over to Lemunde.

"What can I do for you, sir?"

"I will also be requiring a room for the night, if any are available."

"Ofcourse."

After agreeing on the price, the bartender went into a back room and returned with a key. Lemunde took the key and placed it in his pocket, then returned to his drink.

Zalphon looks at Lemunde and says calmly, "Greetings, Fellow Dunmer... What is your House?"

Zalphon grinned and said, "This is Quick-Strike, my friend and bodyguard."

OOC: Thoughts are italicized

This guy makes me nervous...

Quick-Strike grabs Zalphon and whispers, "Lets get you in your bonemold."

Zalphon and Quick-Strike go upstairs for a minute or two and Zalphon comes back in bonemold armor.

Zalphon looks at Lemunde and says calmly, "Greetings, Fellow Dunmer... What is your House?"

Lemunde continued sipping his drink, saying nothing. My house? If I ever had a house my father never told me. It does not matter. My "house" is the Morag Tong now. But he doesn't need to know that.

Lemunde watched as Quick-Strike and the Dunmer walked upstairs returning a few moments later, Zalphon decked out in bonemold armor. Lemunde let out a quiet chuckle.

"You needn't fear anything from me, young noble. My name is Lemunde Fiere. As to your earlier question...I would rather not discuss it."

Zalphon raised a brow and asked curiously, "Why in Vivec's name wouldn't you? You one of those House Dres guys who went bankrupt, or are you a rogue ordinator from House Indoril? Vivec knows your not a House Dagoth. Or do you not have a house? Meh, a commoner doesn't have to try to get into politics I guess..."

Quick-Strike grabbed his steel wazikashi and said without emotion, "Zalphon, do not get in over your head, this guy looks like a morag tong, or worse a dark brotherhood."

Zalphon replies calmly, "Morag Tong are friends, a smart one wouldn't touch me. Dark Brotherhood should be more afraid of you than guards."

Zalphon thinks "I am an accomplished wizard and House Hlaalu Cousin, and East Empire Company Agent."

Quick-Strike thinks "I hope he doesn't get in over his head...again..."

Lemunde downed the rest of his drink and poured himself another glass. Zalphon was pressing him about his house in a somewhat insulting tone but Lemunde was too much of a professional to let him get under his skin. He heard the words "...Morag Tong..." being muttered by Quick-Strike. Just as well, he thought to himself. They may assume what they will but I will verify nothing.

He looked over at Zalphon, his eyes betraying no emotion. "And what house do you represent? I suspect they must feel honored to be represented by such a wise and well mannered youth."

Zalphon calmly said, "House Hlaalu, House Cousin. East Empire Company, Agent."

Quick-Strike kept his fingers on the blade and said with no emotion at all, "Watch your tongue, assassin, Zalphon may be young, but I consider him my own hatchling, harm my hatchling and I will rip your eyes out and feed them to you."

Zalphon thought, "Quick-Strike is too over protective if he keeps this up, this man will surely attempt to kill me"

Quick-Strike thought, "I fear for Zalphon's life here, this man makes me, uneasy."

Zalphon then said, "Let me buy you a drink."

The bartender handed him a bottle of flin which he gave to the fellow dunmer.

Zalphon calmly said to Quick-Strike, "Leave us."

Quick-Strike sighed and said, "No."

Zalphon raised a brow and asked, "Why, not?!"

Quick-Strike grabbed Zalphon by the throat and irritatedly said, "Remember, Zalphon, I saved your life...I can take it away."

Quick-Strike released him and stomped up the stairs.

Zalphon grinned and drank some more flin.

Quick-Strike thought, "That arrogant, rich, snob is going to get himself killed, if only his mother wouldn't of been so kind to me and set me free."

Zalphon thought, "I wish he'd learn his place..."

Lemunde downed the drink Zalphon offered him in one gulp, pretending not to notice the heated argument between the two. The young noble was irritating but no threat. His companion on the other hand seemed a bit overcautious, liable to attack him if he made any threatening moves. Lemunde wasn't interested in provoking the Argonian but was prepared to defend himself if the Argonian tried anything foolish.

As for Zalphon, he made his gesture and Lemunde was willing to tolerate his company for now.

"You should relax, Argonian. I have no interest in harming your master."

Zalphon seen Quick-Strike watching using the Amulet of Shadows he bought him. Zalphon said to Lemunde, "So friend, you ever been to Desele's House of Earthly Delights, cheap entertainment, and its in the ownership of a good house, Hlaalu. However, I don't miss kagouti, the ugly little teeth, horns, and feet. So my friend, you do look like a Tong, but I am guessing Camonna, don't worry, I am by no means a westlander, I actually support you guys."

Zalphon then sipped his flin.

Quick-Strike thought, "I love Zalphon like a brother, but damn, he needs to learn not to communicate with these scum."

Zalphon thought, "I like this guy, a Camonna Tong, some of the best people there are!"

Lemunde couldn't help but laugh to himself, though he tried to conceal it. The Camonna Tong. There were some in his guild who would have spilled Zalphon's guts onto the floor for speaking so flatteringly of those criminals. Of course they would have been reprimanded and possibly expelled for such behavior. Unlike the Camonna Tong, the Morag Tong did not openly condone random violence. They were legal contractors, assassins for hire, within the province of Morrowind. That thought reminded him of his current assignment, which wasn't entirely legal given it's location. More reason not to reveal anything, especially to prying noblemen of house Hlaalu.

Even so, he couldn't help but to try and find out just how deep a hole Zalphon was willing to dig himself into. His next question was spoken loud enough so that everyone in the room who might be listening, including secluded Argonians, would be able to hear it.

"So you agree with the Camonna Tong's philosophy that all outlanders should be slaves or expelled from Morrowind?"

Zalphon chuckled as he said, "I agree with some things that the Tong do, but not that, only the useless ones that refuse to learn magic, serve Morrowind, or assist dunmer."

Quick-Strike sighed as he thought, "He is digging a hole he cannot climb out of..."

Zalphon thought, "I hope this Tong doesn't get mad over me not completely agreeing."

"I see. So you believe as long as outlanders willingly serve the Dunmer they shouldn't have to be slaves? A shame so many don't see it that way."

Lemunde poured himself another glass of sujamma but only sipped it lightly, not wanting to dull his witts too much.

"You spoke of magic. Are you a magician?"

As Aria came into the inn she heard Lemunde talking-"So you believe as long as outlanders willingly serve the Dunmer they shouldn't have to be slaves? A shame so many don't see it that way."

Careful Aria she reminded herself. Both of the Dark Elves seemed to come from Morrowind. Deciding that the best idea was to act like she had never heard the remark she walked up to the bar.

"Can I have some..." she realised that they might have herd of her-maybe even bounty hunters. "Wine. Surilie Brothers, please." Then she sat down next to the Dummers. Turning to Zalphon she said

"So you are a magician? I do have some experience in the school of restoration, but I don't know enough about the other schools to really consider myself as any sort of mage. But you must know about magic that I wouldn't have been able to perform in my wildest dreams!"
