LoL well they had just 1 hr to play , pretty sure you will do stuff like that i mean i don't understand why he didn't kill the hole village lol, i remember a quest in Oblivion that you get from an argonian lady to save her daughter in some small town called drakezing or smt like that, and when you enter the city its like none wants to talk to you everyone is a bit crazy and part naked so i went into a tavern to sleep and i was awoken in the middle of the night there and like 3 of those people part naked with clubs on them started attacking me so i kinda had to kill the half of the town but that was a really good moment for me i mean i remember it still like after 3 years.

Surpriseing since you could do it in Morrowind and I've been informed that bethesda is not norrmally inclined to restore things they have previously removed.

"As the towns people ran around screaming, I saw a group of guards enter a building as if in combat. Figuring I’d follow the action, I followed them inside to find them circling…nothing. I think I may have missed something, as I then became tasked with clearing the town of all the creatures, but as I wandered around I didn’t see anything that needed killing. I shortly gave up on this meager village and wandered out into the icy wastes surrounding it."

Must be an unfinished quest.

Am I the only one who played the oblivion quest where every person, animal and creature in the vicinity of a mage's tower was turned invisible as part of a quest? Or do people just assume you will be given the luxory of being able to see all of the creatures you encounter?

That's either a lie, or you are lucky as hell.

I experienced 2 game-breaking bugs on my first <100hours playthrough of Oblivion.

My first main quest glitched. I had a Mythic Dawn Commentary disappear form my inventory when I got back on. It svcked. -.-

I've played Oblivion around 400 hours and the only game breaking bugs I've found were unfortunately after I had already saved. It was near then end of the Thieves Guild line when I had to meet Grey Fox in a house in Cheydinhal. Well turns out no matter what I did, Mr. Fox didn't wanna show up for the meeting, thus ending my thief career lol. The other glitch was when I wanted to give Umbra to Clavicus Vile. The game would freeze right there no matter what.

Only 2 I've ever encountered, but they did svck lol

So he was very low level and yet could kill a group of fighters? To add insult to injury, those fighters stood a chance against a GIANT before.

He said it took him and all of the fighters to take down the Giant and it wasn't easy. The demo difficulty was toned down. Beth wanted people playing, not constantly staring at a death loading screen.

One of the comments says that dragons weren't in the demo. Maybe they were supposed to be fighting a dragon or something?
Seriously doubt they were supposed to be fighting a dragon. Since dragons are supposed to be unscripted, and they were going into a building to attack something.

It's not too far fetched. I played Oblivion on the Xbox 360 and I can't recall any game breaking bugs. There were glitchy thing's once in awhile like a dead deer's leg freaking out or objects on tables rising up about an inch and a half but nothing too bad.
there is a game breaking bug that happend on 400-500 hours of play it can be fixed in the PC version whit a mod but not in the console versions.

Now we know not to go off of the beaten path when playing a demo of skyrim, lol. I imagine Bethesda disable certain things such as this quest. For all we know the "creatures" may have been werewolves, if that is the case they need to remove them from that quest.

That would be cool. Why would a dragon be in someone's tiny house? Makes more sense for there to be werewolves. Or, it could be the icy volikare (I know I spelled it wrong, not sure of the spelling) vampires, since apparently they dwell in snowy, icy areas...It reminds me of the quest from Bruma where everyone was talking about someone being a vampire.

THANK YOU! I'm not the only one annoyed by the "kill everything in sight" mentality that almost every single reviewer I've read has. I mean, I get wanting to see how combat is and having a limited amount of time to try things out, but to me it just cheapens the entire experience to play it as a genocidal maniac. It'd be one thing if it were an isolated case, but we all (most of us) saw the Quakecon footage...

Only the press played it at QuakeCon? Public didn't go hands on until PAX.

Yeah I know, I was referring to the crowd and their endless chants of "KILL HIM/HER/IT!!!" whenever literally anything living appeared on the screen

Oh I see what you meant now. Yea the crowd was barbaric. I would have rather seen town life, more dialogue, and the inside of that tavern he looked at. What a tease.

Yea it was probably a Dragon attack on a town, since towns are open while cities are walled off. I really like the bit about the merchant outside the mine. Seeing more life outside of cities/towns is very welcomed.

Who else thinks the town he was at is the one seen in the trailer? He mentioned a windmill, so maybe it was?

Dawnstar is one of the major walled-off cities.
