"As the towns people ran around screaming, I saw a group of guards enter a building as if in combat. Figuring I’d follow the action, I followed them inside to find them circling…nothing. I think I may have missed something, as I then became tasked with clearing the town of all the creatures, but as I wandered around I didn’t see anything that needed killing. I shortly gave up on this meager village and wandered out into the icy wastes surrounding it."

Must be an unfinished quest.

Could be. Perhaps it had something to do with something they didn't want spoiled so they disabled them (just left the NPC coding in).

Pretty interesting about carriages, if I get to play a hands on at GAMEfest I'll definitely see if I can find one and go to one of the further away places.

I like the whole you can see giants at the beginning but are hard to kill without help. I'll think twice before bugging them when I'm low level :D

Cart travel like in Might&Magic, nice:) I like wandering around so probably won't use it very often, but in times of need it feels much much better than the simple fast travel option. (which I never use)

Especially if you've already killed one of their kind...

One of the comments says that dragons weren't in the demo. Maybe they were supposed to be fighting a dragon or something?

Dragons were definitely disabled in the PAX demo, so yes, it's entirely possible there was supposed to be a dragon attack on the town they travelled to.

Earlier previews mentioning to a city guard that a town had previously been destroyed by dragons. It could be that the city visited here was that very same city (ala Kavatch. Which is sad because I wanted to see what Kavatch looked like rebuilt).

It seems he was in one of the smaller towns in the far North - perhaps Dawnstar or Morthal.

Either that or a some kind of a bug, and i am guessing a bug knowing that Bethesda games at release are full of bugs, no offense its just the way they do things lol, thats why i always fool around the first week when i buy a Bethesda cuz i know sooner or later i will run some groundbreaking bug and i will need to wait for a patch .

You're exaggerating, I played an unpatched Oblivion for 1000+ hours on the console without ever encountering any gamebreaking bugs.Unless your consider the duplication bug gamebreaking, but that's optional.

Well i don't really remember but i know it had bugs and also fallout series had bugs at release maybe not that groundbreaking but there were a lot of smaller bugs, anyways Bethesda spend a lot of time developing this game so i am pretty sure it will be bug free at least more as it previous games and i sure hope it will be optimized for pc unlike Oblivion.

That's either a lie, or you are lucky as hell.

I experienced 2 game-breaking bugs on my first <100hours playthrough of Oblivion.

Damn I was hoping the carriage was viewable in third person or something , like red dead redemption. So you can turn the camera and view the surroundings as you travel. Maybe we can, and he just prompted it to quickly arrive at the destination because of limited time.

Hopefully so. :)

Pretty cool preview. I like how he was able to loot the merchant's goods.

It's not too far fetched. I played Oblivion on the Xbox 360 and I can't recall any game breaking bugs. There were glitchy thing's once in awhile like a dead deer's leg freaking out or objects on tables rising up about an inch and a half but nothing too bad.

Haha, that article was hilarious! :D

After buying what I needed from the kind merchant at the entrance I promptly ran her through with my sword and stole the rest of her goods. Why? Because I could.
[...]
I had three goals during this demo: find a dragon, find a giant, and kill everything.
[...]
The fighters thanked me and offered me a side-quest to join their ranks but my time was limited, so to the sword they went.
[...]
After a brief grunt, the leader drew his club which itself was much larger than my character. I tried to run away but it was far too late for that. A few quick swings as his friends joined in, and it wasn’t long before I was sent hurtling down the cliffs in a bloody heap.

Hahaha!

Now we know not to go off of the beaten path when playing a demo of skyrim, lol. I imagine Bethesda disable certain things such as this quest. For all we know the "creatures" may have been werewolves, if that is the case they need to remove them from that quest.

Yea it was probably a Dragon attack on a town, since towns are open while cities are walled off. I really like the bit about the merchant outside the mine. Seeing more life outside of cities/towns is very welcomed.

Who else thinks the town he was at is the one seen in the trailer? He mentioned a windmill, so maybe it was?

"I may not have found a dragon, but I did find one thing out: Skyrim is everything I wanted and more."

That line should at least slow down the waves of negativity.

I was just about to post that quote. After reading that article and the ending quote all I could do is

I also played unpatched with no game breakers. Guess it's different for everyone since there is so much to find and do in these open world games.
