Dual weapons

Post » Sat May 28, 2011 9:41 pm

They could create option at character creation if you want to be left-handed or right-handed person so when you place weapos in it the weaker weapon does only 75% dmg (in eevry aspect, except magic) nad other normally full dmg...

I want to say that this would be interesting add :read: hope you see this topic,Bethesda

I'm naturally ambidextrous and my character will be too.

I wouldn't mind this at all, wouldn't mind this if they don't put this in the game either. :P

What i would mind though if you can't block if you're not using a 2h or a shield, meh... i'm sure it'll come out just fine :D!

If there is a hand skill that had an ambidextrous perk than I think this to be great good job idea.

It's possible it will be implemented similar to this. If they do, I'm sure there will be an ambidexterity perk at some point.

I think that you don't need an option for that in character creation option since you can equip each hand and use each hand as you wish.
So you can decide if you will put a weapon in your left or right hand and if you'll put your shield into left or right hand.
So I think left handed people will be happy.
Still, I like dual wielding option since I am ambidextrous and if H2H ability isn't good enough, I will ether go for mage who uses magic with both hands or a unarmored warrior who will use two swords (I would refer rapiers or Chinese swords in that case).

Off topic:
Now when I've mentioned rapiers and Chinese swords, is there any info on those two being in the game?
I don't remember seeing them before, but I would love to see them since they are my favorite swords.

Well I wouldn't mind it as long as a perk counters it. After all, of course you aren't as strong with your off-hand when starting out, but it's not that long before you get used to it and gain the necessary coordination and strenght to use both hands the same.

But still, I don't really WISH for it. I actually hate being penalized for choosing a certain style
