Post » Mon Mar 14, 2011 11:36 pm

since they announcment of dual weilding i have been thinking of the sorts of sets you can do like a fire spell in one and an ice spell in one but then i was thinking of something strange, what if you put a sheild in both hands? haha. well any ways i just wanted to know what set are you guys planning on trying?

Love the idea of dual wielding spells.
But I really don't like Dual Wielding weapons. It's stupid and unrealistic to me.
But hey, that's just my opinion.

I'm an archer usually but this might make me go with a spellsword type of character, since I can have a staff, and a sword, at the same time :D

Was the poll necessary? Anyways, I'm very happy with the inclusion of dual wielding, nice feature for some of my more agile characters, or just over-powered Nords with dual axes.

One sword, one hand to cast spells, prepared for any eventuality.

I'm not really excited... Dual wielding is just not practical in a combat application

There are some dual wielding styles in real life, not with huge weapons, but they can work.
The important thing is they do it right.

Hmm dual shields if possible, otherwise I dive right into the CS and make it happen. Other than that I never really use maces so maybe a mace dagger combo. Eventually through enchanting I'm just gonna have two swords, one with weakness to magicka and the other with some kind of magic damage.

Pretty much this. I'm going to use a sword and a shield, or an axe and a shield. Maybe I'll just use a sword.

Edit* I think that there will be significant improvements to the combat system because of the implementation of dual wielding though, so I'm glad they're including it in that regard.

Shield bash is in the game. They talk about it in the Game Informer article if I recall correctly.

Anyway, I've never been a huge fan of duel wielding per say. But I am very interest in this, two hands two options combat mechanic. Duel shields anyone?! :P

Edit* yes, shield bashing is in. They do describe it in the GI article. Just checked. :)

Your post needs moar desu :/

Anyways I bet it will be what you used to cast with, seeing how spells would be tied to triggers.

I'm not amazingly-amazingly excited, although it will be a cool little feature. I'm just hoping enemies don't run towards you with a giant club in each hand (well Orcs, and non-selectable races perhaps). I imagine Necromancers etc will probably duel wield daggers and some sort of summoning spell, which will increase the pace of fighting. Now I think about it, it does sound quite fun.

I imagine it'll be mapped to one of the shoulder buttons, on Oblivion spells were on RB. Now that spells are something you "equip" RB or LB could easily be used for blocking.

VERY excited for dual-wielding!! It's only stupid and unrealistic if the player can dual-wield two-handed weapons or s/t. There's nothing unrealistic about dual-wielding daggers.

for the 360 button layout i think the triggers would be attack for corrisponding weapons and the bumbers would be alternative like blocking or maybe activating the finishing move.

dual wielding should be possible, but not like 2 maces axes or swords (or a combination).

but more like 1 mace/axe/sword in the right hand and in the left hand a dagger/shortsword

edit: grammar
