I'm afraid of what dual wielding will do to my characters. I may end up doing a playthrough with just a double-barreled shotgun and a Ripper, pretending I'm Bruce Campbell the whole time. Groovy...

I chalk this up as an example of anyone with 2 finger typing skills as qualifying for the position of game journalist today....At least half a dozen latent errors in that article so why would one more surprise anyone?
I take offence to this.
I type with 2 fingers because F.UUUUUUUUUU!!!
But really, I'm a console gamer all my life and most computer monitors give me a chronic headache. Thank goodness for Tablets!
Not to nitpick too much, but most melee weapons and most pistols are going to have similar weights (around 2-4 pounds). Plus, it's not the weight that'll trip you up; it's trying to get your brain to do two different things at once, and that applies equally to both firearms and melee combat. There are differences, and experience with one doesn't really translate well to the other, but neither is "harder" or "easier" than the other.
I buy one bullet, use it to shoot you and then loot your body
Can't. All the items are tagged as stolen.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAA!
Dead man's revenge!
Would not be the most embarassing death I've suffered at explosives.
That still goes to...
-hears clatter of cans-
"What was th---" dead, because I knocked over a grenade can in Fallout 3.
Fallout 3's Raiders were frickin' vicious with traps compared to New Vegas.
This isn't announced by any means. I'd be really surprised to see this happen. This isn't duke nukem...
I think Dual Weilding would be a perk I can't see us getting it right off the bat.
if dual wielding is a thing im dual wielding sawed off shotguns with slug ammo.
I'll be dual wielding a box of sugar bombs and a nuka cola. No more eating with one hand for me.
I'd rather see having two one handed weapons and using each one separately unless you just wanted to lay down a hail of bullets.
Those zombie mobs look fast and you might not have time to reload.
Laser pistols would make excellent dual wield weapons.
Firing a sawed-off shotgun one handed might hurt.
