Dual wielding perk.

Post » Tue Dec 29, 2009 4:52 pm

If they raise the level cap in the next DLC they should incorporate a Dual wielding perk. If its a possible function you could dual wield melee weapons or guns. For example: two 9mm Pistols or two 10mm pistols. A 9mm pistol and a 10mm pistol. Even dual wield 9mm sub-machine guns, so on and so forth................ If you replaced the "look down the sights" trigger with another "fire" trigger itd work perfectly. Personally, dual Fully upgraded silenced 10mm pistols would be the bomb. Ultimate Assassin.

Easy, you take the normal chance and take it by half. You wont be nearly as accurate unless your up close because you can't look down the sights. You arent as accurate but double the damage when your close enough to hit them.

I really wish they would do this - its the cowboy way! I don't care about melee weapons but two six shooters? Oh yeah!
Its a shame - I think its too hard for the modders to do but Beth could do it with some serious hits to accuracy I think it would rock...

The reload would make no sense, the game engine wouldn't allow for it without a completely new one, and it's not something matches Fallout.

1.Games evolve that's what they do. I wouldnt play them if they didnt. A small change wont make fallout NOT fallout. You might as well say upgrading guns ISNT fallout.

2.As for the reloading MW2, Cod black ops, Halo 3, Left 4 Dead 2, all have dual wield capabilities. Clearly they've made a ways to get dual wield reloads to make "sense" I realize they're all 1st person games but you can watch people reload their Dual wielded weapon in the games and nothing appears to not make "sense" Im sure obsidian could find a simple and easy way to do it.

3.Have some faith. :fallout:

How would you reload a gun if both your hands have a gun? Vats would get messed up. It would also mean alot of animation work.

I am not against duel wielding but I also don't want magic reloading.

Your worried about unrealistic? Are you serious? Super Mutants, Vault Experiments, Laser guns, Death claws, Rad Scorpions, Ghouls capable of living hundreds of years, a guy capable of holding up to 300Lbs with no physical change in appearance that all seems realistic to you? I dont think a little unrealistic reloading is gunna matter.

Everything you listed makes sense in the terms of the Fallout Universe all but the carrying thing. The new Fallouts do make it easier for people to carry more stuff without being weighed down.

Still how do you would reload revolvers if you have one in each hand? It would make no sense. The animation would be messed up or there would be no animation. It would just be stupid.

Fallout is realistic, in the case of a futuristic post-apocalyptic wasteland. The things that happen in it are somewhat realistic. All the crazy things there are explained scientifically. Experiments gone wrong (or right in some peoples' opinions), isn't all that unrealistic. We already have genetic engineering, even cloning has been "successfully" tested. Dual wielding guns that you have to reload could be there, granted they let you get radiated to the point where a mutated hand grows out of your stomach.

I fail to see anything about Fallout that is realistic. Fallout is nothing like what would actually happen in a post apocalyptic world. Here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0v6S2BgpgWU <<<<<<<<<< I can see a fallout character doing this ITS A GAME anything is possible. THis is how you would reload.

I'd rather they not raise the level cap but decrease EXP bonuses with quests and such so we don't level to quickly. The game loses a certain feeling once you reach level cap to be honest.

Add tons of more perks for every classbuild possible. And please some more traits.

Ok thats not real guns also. 2. thats time consuming. 3. You would get killed taking up that much time. 4. how would they animate that?

I don't care for dual wielding but saying it doesn't match Fallout doesn't sound right.

Then I suppose you would need the speed reload perk. Whatever if your biggest concern is the "reloading" I'll leave you to it.

try this one then http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gFVKK9gmwE8
