Duke Patrick's - Hammer-Blade NEW Revision

SCApoints and MuMetal arrow bugs are fixed now.

There is a new Texture for the Mumetal special effects. So be sure to do a full install of all the support files.
Before, if the target had a low magicka you would not see any effect from the MuMetal arrow. Now there is a low
magicka effect shader so you know the arrow disrupted even small amounts of magicka.

2.4 fixed a serious bug that CTD when an arrow was fired and the previous fired arrow was disabled for what ever reasons.

I may have another micro update uploaded tomorrow on TesNexus.

This will fix and issue with some of the SCA NPC not getting into their beds when they should.
The problem was the tent post got in their way sometimes. So I made a new tent post with no collisions for the squires tent and one other tent that had this issue.

Also, I added a damage health effect to the Mu-Metal arrows to equal to 33 percent of the magicka the target had.

So an NPC with 99 magicka would get 33 points of damage from the Mu-Metal magic disruption effect of the arrows.

Rev 2.7 Major Bug Fix For the Tournament. I also spent 6 hours of my Saturday to fix a several minor bugs that were irritating me.

This zip only has the ESP NOT the support files. You will need 2.5 for the support files. Install this ESP and then load your "Before I agreed" save game to restart the Tournament.

In updating to 2.8.1 and trying to install with Wrye bash installer - the installer refused to install this file:

Textures\Duke Patricks Shield Shredder\DPAmorDDS\SavA6.tmp

What is that file? Is it left by mistake or is it important and I should manually install it?

Not sure (it is not a file I require for the mod) but it is just a temp file, so just delete it!

I noticed a small bug in that sometime when you start a conversion with normal NPC the "sad" music start up indicating that you lost some SCA points.

I need to look at this to see what is wrong.

So you may want to delay staring this mod again.

However this only happen after I won the tournament.

Ver 2.9 Note: Player was getting SCA demerits even when not wearing a red belt if they were using magic equipment and started dialog with Non-SCA members. This update fixes this bug. You should only get demerits if you are in the presence of another SCA member or if you re wearing any SCA insignias such as the red belt.


If you have download previous versions of this mod you only need to download the ESP only update file not the entire mod zip.


I am sick, going to drink Orange juice and sleep for a few days now...

Hi Love this mod.

Just wondering about the sequence of events and how the tournament is meant to be run.

I sign up read and accept the rules, then watch the duke fight and then fight "Conan" (something). Now here he dies and I am given victory. Then nothing happens, I can not sign up for further fights and his body is still in the Eric days later.

Is that how it is ....How should the tournament proceed?


Also when I enter the last training fight with the Duke, it informs me the he has nothing more to teach me.....then.....a pop up .....about never tho there are no more lessons every time i fight I will raise my weapon and block....i click "done" on the pop up and it reappears this happens in an endless loop and I can proceed no further.

I recall being asked to leave the eric.

You go all the way through the whole tournament in one go if you die it will reload to when you signed up.

Are you using any mods like Realistic Fatigue or NPCs yield? I would turn those off for the tournament ... anything that would interfere with normal defeating of the opponents.

Spooky, I don't know where you get the time to create all these great mods (not to mention the proof of concepts etc). I suspect that you have somehow managed to create a mod to expand a normal day to include 26 hours instead of the traditional 24(ish), in order to get more done.

I am not using any of those types of mods.
More of a pressing issue is the dialog pop up loop. I can proceed no further with the mod and the duke.

The dogs are suppose to go to the Eric and eat the body. If something prevents the dogs from detecting the dead body or from getting in the eric the mod will get stuck. You need start over at the beginning of the tournament. Use the save file that the mod automatically makes for you when you first sign up for the combat at the list table. If this happens again then reload the Hammer blade mod after a "clean save" but do not load in any other mod at all! If it works then it is a mod conflcit.

No it does happen again and again aftter I reload the SCA save. I have not tried a clean save with only this mod yet ...as I am trying to work out some other problems.

One thing though you said "the dogs", now there is one one dog in the SCA area. Do these "Dogs" spawn after a death or should they already be there. I am running mmm+ooo FCOM and loading everything via BOSS order.

One doge always, then more spawn after death of any actor in the camp.

Try a clean save with only my mod loaded to see if it is a conflict issue.
