Dumb Ideas

Post » Thu Jun 17, 2010 11:32 pm

I once had an excellent idea to fast travel to camp searchlight with legion clothing on. I had remembered that I still had legion clothing on halfway through the loading screen. It was Texas Chainsaw Massacre but with guns.

I was on top of that rock ledge at the west end of Primm Pass with the Blind Deathclaw jumping up at me. I thought it would be a good idea to just drop a plasma mine on his head.
Try it!

Beings that my Courier slings an Assualt Carbine and has 500+ ammo, all those feral ghouls would have been a blast. Of course, Veronica would have left a trail of irradiated hamburger craters on her side.

Thinking that since it said "blind" deathclaw they wouldn't be able to see me to attack. Didn't make that mistake twice at level five thats for sure.

I was on a cliff overlooking the Colorado river, south of Hoover, North of the deathclaw promontory when I thought... "Hey, I know...I'll just jump into the river!!"....the water was a lot farther out than I thought!!

I have the Fallout NV strategy guide, and there is ABSOLUTELY no difference in stats between blind and normal deathclaws

I once decided to go into Caesars tent while vilified. 10 angry dudes with little blades does alot of damage. My last save was shoved into my face by Caesars legion. I'm just gonna try and kill them all next time

Got hit with a glitch once, couldn't get to the fort after slaughtering everyone at Cottonwood Cove, so I went up a mountain overlooking the fort, looked down and saww a brown outline in the water, I thought to myself "Oh hey a bridge!" got down there, turned out to just be a divider/barrier.

Chose Energy Weapons when the game came out. :facepalm:

Oh and going through the Boomer tunnel with might and pride only to be greeted by a deathclaw when I was equipped with a machete. D:<

Mining the entrances to Bitter Springs to make fending off the Legion assault a bit easier. Those refugees go looking for trouble, I swear.

@Rogue- 'Mining'?

@Thread- I've made some big mistakes myself, worst one is probably when I completed 90% of 'Arizona Killer' and Fast Travelled to The Fort in NCR Trooper Armor. I literally gasped aloud 'OH [censored]! NO NO NO!' Thank God I saved just before walking towards Hoover Dam :bonk:

Too bad for you that after buying that guide Obsidian changed the stats on TONS of stuff. Glad I didn't make that mistake.

Sad fact is that the book will probably become more outdated with each patch if they continue the same path they've been following.
