Dungeons--favorite least favorite?

Personally, I like bandit/marauder dungeons for the good loot. Monster dungeons occasionally with good magic items.

Don't like sewers and goblin dungeons. skimpy loot.

Faves: Necromancer and Conjuror dungeons. My character hates them, and therefore loves to hunt them down. They go down nicely with one arrow, but if you screw it up or get seen, they sprint around calling their friends, summoning helpers, casting spells and causing lots of fun.

Least Faves:
- Forest creatures. My wood elf is loathe to attack them unless she needs the food/pelt or if they endanger an innocent along the roads. Thanks to a tweak or two in our game, they won't attack her (or her horse) either.
- Goblins. Similarly, she doesn't like to attack them. She is fascinated by their intelligence and social structure. She even wonders if they are a variety of 'cave-mer'. Thanks again to tweaking our game, she has even managed to join one of the tribes. Fascinating beings.

My favorite is definitely vampire lairs. I would consider my "main" character a vampire hunter.

Least favorite would be magical creatures... Will-o-the-wisps. Nuff' said.

My favorite would have to be Vampire caverns and the Shivering Isles caves with Gnarl in them. I like fighting Gnarl.

Anything with even the slimmest chance of spawning any sort of zombie or someone who will summon a zombie is definitely on the "hate" list. I'm just so unexplicably freaked out by zombies, that I try to avoid fighting them at all thimes. :P I'd rather tackle a hoarde of Liches, Gloom Wraiths or Xivilai if that were the alternative to fighting even a single zombie.

My least favourite type of dungeon? Has to be anything to do with any Oblivion Realm, i really hate those places, so many traps and freaky Daedra, etc. My favourite has to be anything wildlife or nature based, always such quite(ish) places.

I tend to like Goblin Dungeons. I like the tribal nature, and I also like Goblin hunting. I also like undead, Aylied Ruins with undead in particular - not sure exactly why.

Oblivion Planes are a great idea, but they get repetitive, so I voted least favorite. Also Conjurer dungeons because it's annoying how they summon, cast and then run away (the cowards :) ) Necromancers do much the same but I didn't vote them as least favorite because at least they got some cool body parts lying around for atmosphere.

Groups of Conjurers or necromancers add frenzy for maximum fun, Current characters hate them as she is not allowed to join the party.
Probably my favorite.

Hate goblins, they are ugly and hard to kill, dislike the oblivion planes as I have seen to many.

I like Bandit and Vampire lairs, because they are generally fairly easy to kill and give good loot, as well as being affected by Frenzy, Command, Demoralize etc. which some monsters are not, which is useful for my Mystic Archer. I hate Oblivion Planes, as they are harder for stealth characters, despite usually giving good loot (as well as a Sigil Stone of course) and Goblin Lairs, due to them essentially having all the cons of Monster Lairs (no very good loot on enemies, harder for Illusion users) and none of the pros (nice enchanted loot in chests, generally easier to kill). I don't really have an opinion on Undead, Conjuror or Necromancer lairs, although I do like the Alchemy Equipment in the latter two.

Are you asking which creatures one'd rather fight in a dungeon or one's favourite dungeon 'type'? I am asking this coz AFAIK there is no noticeable diffrence in structure, environment, etc... in dungeons by creature type (if I'm wrong, pls s.o. post a link for me to take a look at the different types?).

I know Oblivion's Plane is different - awful, imo.

The structures I like most in game are the Ayleid Ruins. Just love them (O did this one better than any other of the series).

I was going to say what pdesbois did. My favorite dungeons are the Ayleid Ruins. My least favorite are probably the mines. My favorite creatures to fight are Undead. So give me an Ayleid Ruin filled with undead and I am a happy camper. My least favorite are forest animals. I hate the idea of harming those poor wolves, bears or kitties. In fact, I created a mod so they will not attack me. That way I never have to fight them. Except for mudcrabs of course. Its always open season on them!

yeah, i voted to fight Undead too, and frankly... to me Vampires are Undead. Probably the game created some different factions (Yemanjá knows why...) for Vamps x Undead, but I consider Undead the worst abomminations. BUT depends on which character I am playing: my Shadow Assassin (RIP) would be scared to death to fight them, while my Paladin of Light is honoured to take on the mission.

Necromancers are a delight to tangle with. Goblins, on the other hand, are depressingly dull--well animated, but offering little challenge, and hardly any reward.

Marauder/ Bandit caves ftw!
And, I despise oblivion gates, sure they were amazing at first...but....the repetition is mind numbing >.<

Hey, feel free to interpret the question as you please. It's all good :foodndrink: I was talking about denizens, of course, not architecture. And, I was thinking of favorite places to hunt, but, hey, if someone likes to hang out in dungeons, that's cool too.

I like fighting human enemies, but not necromancers. I despise them, the undead, and goblins.

I used to hate fighting Necromancers and Conjurers because of their annoying summonses. Now I've got a Conjurer (the character demanded to go that route -- I initially planned this Altmer Apprentice Mage as an Alchemist/Illusionist), and it's great fun sending one daedra after another into a nest of summoners.

I like the Ayleid ruins better than the caves/mines, mainly because I find them more visually interesting, and the traps more diabolical.

I'd have to say my least favorite dungeon would be a cave full of monster types. I find goblins amusing, and the Marauder/Bandit types have the best junk to drag out and sell. :)

It has to be vampires, from imperial city head up to cheydinhal and u will see a tiny branch off the road on your map half way ther. go up there that is the best vampire dungeon. (forgot name)
i prefer vampires purely for the challenge, best loot, and easy to get around

I CANT STAND oblivion planes. all monsters so no drops at all, i have done the main story once, it was only good at the very end, and at the bit with the mythic dawn, anything to do with the planes i nearly died of boredom and lostness <-- my word of describing oblivion planes

the only oblivion plane i like is the on to get goldbrand but that is just a circle of circles with a good loot dropping enemy on each circle, and ofc you get goldbrand best wep on game, not my favourite like

:obliviongate: FTW

I had a weird ballot. I voted most favorite all of them. And then the least favorite is woodland creatures. The only reason the creatures made it into the favs, is those creatures are usually associated with a certain type of treasure at higher levels. And then least, because I hate clearing those places out. But I have game plans for all different types of dungeons... then mixing up those plans and limiting myself, makes things fresh and exciting.

Favourites - Bandits, Vampires, Marauders and Woodland Animals. For the bandits and vampires etc, I just enjoy slashing those gosh-darn outlaws to Oblivion.

Lest Favourites: Oblivion - Such an ugly, and like Savlian and thricerocks said, so boringly repetitive.
Goblins - I hate the little [censored]! Ugly things, and always put up a large fight, and all gang up on you at once.
Necromancers - Cowards, summoning the dead to fight for them, and then running away.
Undead - Purely for the fact that I despise Ghouls.

Favorite type? That would have to be Vampire inhabited dungeons, closely followed up by human inhabited dungeons (Bandits, Marauders, etc.) Not only do these types of dungeons give good loot, but my character has a dislike for Vampires, Bandits, and Marauders, as they harm the citizens of Cyrodiil. My marksman based character has extra fun in these types of dungeons, as a single, poisoned arrow can put down most enemies. They never even knew I was there. :)

Least favorite type? Without a doubt, Goblins. I despise these wretched beasts. I believe them to eat humans, as I find a lot of human skulls in their caves. However, it is always fun to steal the Tribal Totems, as I can place them anywhere I'd like when I'm bored, and watch a Goblin war. :D

My least favourite type of dungeon is the sewers. This not due to layout or inmates. It's entirely due to what you are prohibited from doing during the game start. Carry out the inhumation contract on Emperor Picard in the unskippable tutorial in the sewers.

I like most of them simply because Bethesda has done a great job of not having mines and caves with 800 levels you have to circle through to get in and out. It's all the action in only a few levels.

The Ayelid Ruins still spook me, what with the ghost and what not, fear of the unknown I guess since I have only done 2 or 3 of them so far. They have a spooky atmosphere about them. Camarilla is scared of ghosts and don't like those ruins at all =)

I hate conjurers and other magic users, they won't stand still so I can whack'em in the head with my lump of metal, grrr!

I mostly like the ones with real people in them, bandits, marauders etc., they tend to have decent loot too.

Do the collector's quest (the one with the statues), some ruins are small, other ones large... Worth the adventure, the scares and the loot.
