Dungeons in skyrim

Post » Sat Aug 20, 2011 10:33 am

And if yes, why?

i will so i can continue collecting loot, ingridents from creatures and slaying more enemies, even if these things are low level, it'll still be fun. With all the weapons, spells, enemies and dungeon uniqueness every time you enter a previously explored dungeon it'll be a new adventure every time.

I doubt it. Having dungeons lock to your level the first time you enter pretty much kills any chance I will ever go back there.

Not on a constant basis, but sort of in a retrospective way. Like when I'm a super high level, I'll go visit the first dungeon I was ever in and slaughter all the weak enemies there just to remind myself how powerful I've become. :toughninja:

I might if a dungeon is to hard to beat at that time. I will just lvl a bit and return later then.

I may revisit a few, but not many. If I like one well enough I may mod it to be my new home...if I'm playing a character that would live in a dungeon.

To finish grabbing all the loot I had to leave in order to be unencumbered.

What's this about dungeons locking to your level the first time your enter? I have not heard this.

Maybe if I don't finish them (happened a few times in oblivion). But aside from that, probably not with the same character..

My characters may re-visit some dungeons. I hope, if possible, for them to be able to take a horse-drawn cart back and load up with goodies.

Not really. I'll be too busy going in new dungeons looking for more words of power.

for roleplaying purposes perhaps, but dungeon crawling for the sake of it is something I find boring in TES.. I have to have a context for being places otherwise I lose my sense of immersion.

I am sure this is how they described it working (I could be misinterpreting that though).

I'll definitely return if there are humanoid NPCs residing and respawning in said dungeons... I don't know why, but ever since OB, I have developed this strange obsession with killing humans rather than animals/creatures etc. in video games.. bizarre much?

Yeah I just happened across a good explanation by pure accident in another thread. I kind of like the idea, and kind of don't. On one hand, I hated Oblivion's scaling system. Dumbest thing ever. On the other hand I don't want a dungeon locked at level 1 for the rest of the game if I decide to run in it right in the beginning.

Yup, the first time you enter a dungeon, they will lock to your lvl. So if you enter at lvl 2, the monsters will be around lvl 2. if you turn back later as a lvl 30, the monsters will still be around lvl 2.
