Dungeons stay the level that you enter them

I think you're missing the point of this one a bit.

Dungeons don't stay the level that you enter them. They are either equal to your level, higher than your level, or lower than your level, depending on the dungeon, and what level you are when you enter it.

If you enter a lvl 25-30 dungeon when you're level 5, it's not going to stay level 5. It will stay at level 25..

What's wrong with that?

I'm pretty sure there was a tweet/something recently that confirmed that dungeons will scale to your level when you enter. So if you enter at level 5, the enemies will be level 5-9 (or thereabouts).

They haven't been totally clear on whether clearing the dungeon resets it.

And, as I said earlier, with 150 dungeons, it doesn't really matter. You'd level up enough to see good stuff even if all you did was go through dungeons.

Edit: I love that it seems like some in this thread want the dungeons to level with them.. poor Bethesda. They can't please anyone lol.

I think the OP's concern is that it will be pointless to visit the low-level dungeons later in the game. A level 5-10 dungeon won't pose any challenge whatsoever to a level 35 character. I personally don't mind.

*groan*

First it was complaints about everything leveling. Now it's complaints about things NOT leveling.

I'm filing this under the Weightless Carrots category.

I'm curious here... if a dungeon locks to me at level 5, and I reeeally like it... and go back at level 20... loot/enemies/gear is gonna be level 5 stuff?

Or will the dungeon level with you? :\
If set to not respawn (default), the former. If set to respawn, the latter.

http://geck.gamesas.com/index.php/Encounter_Zone (ECZN) can and will be modded. They work pretty well though to give any given dungeon the appearance of being inhabited by a creature type throughout the game. Say you, at level 3, go into a cave full of imps and return at level 25. There will still be imps rather than higher leveled, more difficult creatures. The benefit is that there is more lasting variety when revisiting dungeons. Setting an ECZN to not respawn makes it such that the whole dungeon re-evaluates its inhabitants and such according to your current level, making things more difficult.

*adds option to pending BORG options list*

I thought they made this blatantly clear previously that it didn't work like this? If this is a recent development then I guess I'm wrong. I was under the impression that if you entered a dungeon at level 5 it TOTALLY depended on what the dungeon was set at. If you enter a dungeon that is designed for level 5-9, and you enter it at 5 it locks at 5. But if you enter it at level 9 it locks at level 9. Similarly if you enter it at level 38, it's locked at 9 still because it's a level 5-9 dungeon.

I was just scouring the forum for the thread that linked the official statement to that effect. I can only find people talking about it.
