Dungeons will be marked when "completed"

@DCDeacon why there are an indicator like "dungeon is clean", isn't it cheating???

Pete Hines: @werelf because you lose track of which of the 150 dungeons you've discovered, and which you've actually gone in and finished

So dungeons will be marked when "completed"? And will the dungeons respawn then like in Oblivion? Pete has been asked this on Twitter but no reply yet.

Maybe if they reset it shows them as not completed anymore

That is a feature that I like. I used to write down the names of everything that I completed. This was mainly so that if I discovered something, but did not complete it, I would know that I still can go there and find out what's there.

Hopefully they reset after a few days but show up as completed as well.

That would defeat the purpose because i doubt you would finish 150 dungeons before the spawns reset

i really like this. The only way i ever knew i finished a dungeon is when i saw something i recognized 50% of the way into the dungeon. I hope this goes through when the make Fallout 4 because i HATED vaults (non populated ones) and sometimes i would go into the same one and realize that i already was there. This is welcome news.

could be really awesome. as opposed to certain caves in Morrowind I only knew I had cleaned out because the name rung an obscure bell

Heh, good idea! I'll use that in my next Oblivion playthrough.

Wouldn't it disappear when the cell resets after I think 3 in game days?

If I had a Septim from all the times I've seen the word "Immersion" used on this forum, I could buy three horses.

I'm starting to hate the word to be perfectly honest.

It's a great feature. I can see it helping with a "visit all dungeons" type of achievement.

It really doesn't have to have anything to do with mob respawns. If you are 150 hours into the game, you can pretty much guarantee that the first dungeon you ever completed will be respawned. But you can't guarantee that you'd remember going to a specific one. Unless of course the dungeon design is so good that you do remember.

I would just be upset to find a word wall, and then find out that I already activated it.

Sounds handy, maybe the icon on the map can change slightly when it's re-inhabited again to let you know in a subtle way.

Eg. A slightly glowing/pulsing closed door icon for an inhabited cave that hasn't been visited before, and an open door for one you've cleared. Once the critters respawn the icon returns to closed door but not glowing.

As for immersion all you need to do is role play and pretend that you would have written on a paper map that you had been somewhere in order to not get confused. Some of the fans are a bit unreasonable with some of their complaints. That's what I will be doing.

I am pleased this is in the game as it was one of the annoying things in Oblivion going back to the same dungeon again for no reason

Exactly.

All anybody needs to role play is a good imagination, this is why I find the people who were furious that there will be no hardcoe mode quite pathetic really, you just don't need a stupid boring meter to tell you that you're hungry, if you want to be a "hardcoe role-player* then you will remember to eat, drink and sleep when it is time.

Sorry, rant over.

This will be a welcome feature for me. I could only remember so many (not)visited dungeons in Oblivion.

It would be a weak argument, realistically I'm sure a person would know when they have cleared out a place, in other games I play I will not leave an area till every container has been opened and every stone turned, but then I'm a hoarder and like trading.

Wasnt really needed. you could just go into the dungeon and look at the map. If it was explored then it would show you. lol.

But this is a welcome addition to the game.
