Dunmer and Argonian relations

Post » Wed Feb 09, 2011 5:01 pm

So since
Spoiler
Black Marsh invaded Morrowind and drove all the Dunmer out to Solsteim and Skyrim
, don't you think that the relationship between the two races is a bit... chilly?
I guess we can see numerous quests about bar fights and such between them, maybe most prominently in the Dunmer city.
Speculations and thoughts?

The Dunmer shall rise again! I think you're on to something Mort Rouge, this could be interesting.

A semi related question:
Spoiler
The Dunmer were driven out from Morrowind but they still reside in Vvardenfell, right?

I don't know if that has been answered at all in the books.

I completely misunderstood you.

Spoiler
Vvardenfell was destroyed by an eruption when the Ministry of Truth fell.

Maybe there are still some dunmer slaves on the mainland? It would be ironic, indeed!

Cruel irony. I really hope that this subject and its consequences will be raised in Skyrim, it's a too good conflict to be neglected.

How is it that the Dunmer have Almalexia, Dagoth Ur, Sotha Sil, and Vivec who have god-like powers yet they get over-run by lizards?

Yeah, the recent events in Morrowind should make for some interesting conflicts between the Dunmer and Argonians, but knowing Bethesda's writing style, it'll probably end up being represented like so:

Dunmer: "I saw an Argonian by the river not long ago. Repulsive creatures, I try to avoid them whenever possible."

No. Here goes:

Spoiler
The Nerevarine (main character in Morrowind) kills Dagoth ur, Almexia and Sotha Sil. Vivec is mentioned in Oblivion to have dissapeared.

The eruption of red mountain made them vulnerable to attack.

Wait...when were the relations between the Dunmer and the Argonians not chilly?

You have some Dunmer Houses openly pressing for the uncivilized beastly lesser races to no longer be enslaved, and how do the Argonians repay them? Ungrateful savages.

Well I may or may not play a dunmer and kill all argonians it depends on if I forgive them by release as for multiplayer NON NO NO! the ONLY WAY you could ever make a good elder scrolls game that has multiplayer would be if they made a seperate game that was a disc which only worked for multiplayer its the only way to fit that big a world in with all the stuff needed for co op even then it would probably be broken no we will wait maybe one day they will make one that can go all the way back in time to when there was the dwarves ayleids and falmer as well and perhaps make an multiplayer or mmo but that would be a ways off for now Im just happy with a single player game where I dont have to put up with the A**holes on multiplayer games or npc killing team members good day sir.

Almalexia kills sotha sil not the nerevarine. Hopefully we learn of vivec in skyrim.
