Lorkhan is seen as evil from a Mer perspective, because he sundered their godhood from them. He is a hero to mankind because he created Mundus. But what do the dunmer think of him? Because they are Mer, they should hate him right? But the Veloth and the dunmer renounced the old beliefs and the Trbiunal (Vivec at least) think that what Lorkhan has done is miraculous.

They should hate him only in so much as the Redguard would love him as Lorkhan because they are men. The Chinmer worshipped Deadra and the Tribunal and do not share the same belief system as Altmer (for example).

The Dunmer are ambivalent towards Lorkhan, but Vivec knows and reveres him.

MK said they're an exception to the general Mer-Lorkhan-Hate-Club as the Red Guard are an exception to the Man-Lorkhan-Circle-Jerk.


They worship the daedra because of their ability to directly influence their lives and nirn.

Of the Aedra, Lorkhan is the only to one to actually DO anything that physically influences their lives and he does so in an extremely profound way, as well as being a representative of chaos in the same school as their other deadric gods.

I think they'd have to acknowledge this on some level.

Well, http://www.imperial-library.info/content/oblivion-sithis is usually attributed to Dunmer. IIRC, it was usually found in the towers of Dunmer sorcerers and places like that in Morrowind. I think it's safe to say it represents _one_ Dunmer view of Lorkhan. Of course, you still have to decide what it actually means.
