Hey everyone,

Today I made a dark elf, Raven Rock citizen character, and I LOVED IT. Just all the lore, background history, just the people themselves make the playthrough very enjoyable. Thank you beth for this great race! Does anyone have something to share?

Yes, ever since Morrowind I have loved the Dunmer. They are rough at first with there xenophobic ways, but they are still imo to this day the most fleshed out race in the TES series. The Nords are okay, but I find their ancient ancestors more fascinating, than their modern counterparts.

I appreciate that the default male Dunmer in the character creation menu looks like Danny Trejo

Really? Who's your first, just out of curiosity? Usually dunmer are higher ups on that list.

Master Neloth is awesome. That's it, lol. Don't really like any other Dunmer.

I like to kit out my characters in equipment I feel is best suited to them from a lore point of view.

Most the available equipment for Dunmer is heavy armor but I don't feel any desire to play a Dunmer as a warrior as that would feel no different to an Orc.

My Orc I have luckily played in light armor as a barbarian type of warrior role (dual Orcish axes backed up with alchemy and an Orcish bow) so I may cast a Dunmer sorcerer with dual destruction and heavy armor. It's a shame I can't add capes to the armor to make it look more sorcererish (xbox).

I like Neloth. His cast as a Dunmer is cool. The Dunmer robes look cool.

I like the Altmer and Orcs. Those two are usually tied for me.

Divayth Fyr is quite possibly the most brilliant mortal in the Aurbis.

I might not play them, but they are my favorite of the mer races. Although I'm probably biased from my short time playing Morrowind.

Despite the fact I don't play a dunmer all that much, my first ever Skyrim character on 11.11.11 was a female dunmer with red eyes and hair. I made a lot of first character mistakes like spending perk points on things I didn't want because I thought you would lose them if you didn't. She wore falmer armor with a forsworn head dress... was not good with any weapon really as I couldn't settle on being one hand or two hand. And then there was magic... She was a mess. Ended up deleting her to make space on my PS3.

I didn't make another dunmer until maybe a year ago. Short lived character I made just to play through the Dark Brotherhood.

I like when they say "YOU DARE FIGHT A DUMNER!" and overall they are pretty cool. never played one but if I had to play an mer race dumner would be it.

My second character after the game was released was a Dunmer battlemage. A good character and a good play through which I enjoyed. Unfortunately this was well before the DB DLC was released so he never got over to Solsthiem to meet a lot of his kin. Good race, I like them.
