Post » Tue Aug 09, 2011 12:00 am

Here is some fanart I finished today. It is my take of a Dunmer Conjurer. Took me about 3 hours? Done in Photoshop CS5. Anywho, Enjoy. http://th3angrygam3r.deviantart.com/art/Warlock-251638263

Looks like a zombie Ethiopian being molested by a goblin.

I like it.

Come to think of it... I kinda hope they have Kris daggers in Skyrim now. I kinda like the idea of a conjuration mage with a kris dagger. Oh, if anyone is wondering if this is in the right place I have asked the moderators and they say for now it is okay as it builds excitement for the game. They will move it when time gets closer to release date.

that is quite suprising actualy, but some daedra weapons had very slight kris affects to them, the claymore did towards the tip :)

I asked them and they are fine for now since it helps build hype for skyrim. When it gets closer to release date they said they will move them for me. Thanks though for trying to let me know :)

I think thats fantastic. And I like how it appears you've even fleshed out details with bounced hues. I want to do a painting of something about Skyrim. Im an artist myself. But I dont know of what. How did you decide?

Im not very good at drawing lizards so Argonians are out (besides I have no idea how they'd look now). And dragon paintings are so cliche.

Remember the Knights of the Nine expansion for Oblivion, how there was that mural of the Crusader fighting Umaril? I loved that. I was thinking something like that with a Dovakiin fighting a Dragon. The problem is that once you commit to it thats it. It'd be a 50 hour project minimum with oil paints.

Thanks. We haven't seen the Argonian or the Flame Atronach yet. I think painting either of those would be fun. I started working on a flame atronach myself a while ago but I ended up not finishing it (I know, bad me). Just sit down and do some gesture work and get inspired from there. Maybe try some scenery painting as well. Maybe a painting of a Giant riding a mammoth and he has war gear on and he is charging forward with ferocity. I like to listen to music and just start going. I honestly had no idea what I was going to paint when I started out LOL.

thanks bud. yeah, going through a divorce right now but I am finally starting to come to terms with it and march forward. I am becoming a much better person after the whole thing. That being said I am also getting back into things I enjoy.

That's amazing news, I'm glad for you!
It's a great picture, btw - especially because it just took 3 hours. The lighting is superb, gives a great feeling of depth. There are a few anatomical flaws, but this kinda stuff is really hard to do right from the get-go. I definitely see some overall improvement there, bravo! :icecream:

hah. I want to become a concept artist for video games some day but I don't feel confident enough or experienced enough to apply for that. Honestly I gave up on my art long ago and only recently started it up again. I have a long ways to go.
