Will probably make a Nightblade build and mix stealth with sneaky magic.

Everyone looks badass in Skyrim, not only the Dunmer. It's just that they look more badass than the most and it should be that way. Also, presets are just that, presets.Doesn't mean you Dunmer will look as threatening as those.Anyway, they remind me of the Dunmer of Morrowind and I like that.

And uh...they were cursed by Azura and they have a reputation for at least looking, if not being grumpy. That is generalization though and generalization is stupid.I believe you can get the eyebrows right, yeah, they are huge :D

They look too evil. I thought they were supposed to be kind of good looking in a "dark" way.

they look cursed like theyre supposed to though thankfully not as cursed as orcs who seem to be getting better i might add.

There are no classes anymore so I'll just master every skill. Also I hope ancestor guardian has the sanctuary effect to make you temporarily invincible, like in Morrowind.

That would be awesome! Especially depending on your play style. Say you're a warrior, getting up close and personal against enemies, but you would like to have magic backing you up in a fight. Just cast the ability, and bam! Instant mage ally. :flamethrower:

Yeap and it wouldn't be too out of the question because Skyrim seems to be companion central, plus after saying that I can't stop imagining a Dunmer casting it and seeing an Ancestor appear looking all powerful.

-Dunmer Warrior (Equipped with Heavy Armor and a big ass axe or sword)
-Dunmer Mage (Wearing a very Morrowind styled robe and using a Staff and a sword)
-Dunmer Archer (Wearing leather and using a big ornate looking wooden bow.)

of course they wouldn't be too powerful, because you don't want to be OP, but it's kind of hard to tell sense I have nothing to compare them too. Sense I haven't played Skyrim.

Compared to what? I mean female Dunmer we see are old and wrinkly, unless I missed some hot Dunmer I just can't recall. At least there is one on the preset I could said I'd honestly tap.

Yeah, number seven (I think that was the one) is a MILF, because all the presets are middle aged, meaning around 40 years old (human age)

I absolutely adore the look they gave the dunmer for Skyrim. They look intimidating, exotic, alien, yet not unattractive.

I probably wont play one first, since I have a long tradition of making my primary character a bosmer lady, but I definitely will play one at some point :D

I no this isn't a Bosmer thread but how do you feel the Bosmer look now compared to the rest of the series? They looked to have changed drastically, I think it's about time their appearance effects more of what they are, I mean they aren't any less vicious then a Dunmer yet they were always kind of cute and sweet looking.

I really think it suits the cultural image they have. To me, they always came across as a little bit of quirky disguising their feral nature. If I'm recalling lore correctly, Bosmer have never waged a war of aggression, but have defended the borders of Valenwood on several occasions. So basically, they seem easy to underestimate, but really, don't eff with them :P

Morrowind did a good job of showing that. Oblivion just kind of made them derpy :/ The presets I've seen for Skyrim of them look absolutely fantastic. I can easily imagine them being able to both be cute and quirky, and chewing someones face off.

And to keep this on topic: My bosmer will probably marry a dunmer, especially if they get the same rough voice they had in Morrowind :D That voice was pure <3

DEATH TO THE *counts to 5* FIVE REMAINING DUNMER, DEATH I TELL YOU, DEATH... and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V2sKH8yjVsM
Okay, past the rant and death, they definitely look better but they're still extremely ugly.

I love the new look, the dunmer are a huge step up from oblivion who probably could have been mistaken for falmer.

Ah well, one last thing: I think the eyes are little...too big on the presets (the Ign Dunmer had smaller eyes, so its not a problem)

Lets hope we can make dunmers faces not so sour...more smooth and younger idk bout all you guys but the males look like they licked the sour side of some rank fruit....
Anyway gonna try for dashing young rogue/ fireball afficienado with a penchent for parties of both six's and all....well almost all races....idk bout you but if orcs breath is anywhere near as bad as their looks well yeah....I might start a bar fight lol.

But seriously Im down to either nord or dunmer as first character.....if I can get dunmer to look better/younger ima side with bearded nord hands down

I was thinking that with the sourness. I generally roll a good guy, so having my character look all evil is kind of off. I really hope that with the sliders, I can make my character look more like a good guy.

Could always say he's just pissed off at all the evil that surrounds him then go and slaughter a bunch of bandits :).

Your descriptions are epic. That would be awesome to see! We'll have to wait until the game to see what the developers have come up with.

And while I doubt this would be in, I think it'd be fantastic if the ancestor ghost spoke or something. Not complete sentences, but used ancient dunmer battle cries or something. :)

Dunmer all the way. You know what I really want though. Some news or information on the Neravarine, considering he is immortal by standards of aging and ill health he could only die in combat and as we know, after tribunal he is likely one of the if not THE most powerful beings from Tamriel. Just damn it I want to know something. This is probably in the totally wrong place :D

Oh and I actually prefer all the elven features in Skyrim, they look like a different genus from that of humans unlike in Oblivion.

I'm really curious as to how dunmer and argonians will interact in-game now.
I for one will personally be very hostile towards any slimy bastard I come across, but I wonder what the argonians will be like and how NPC's deal with racial troubles overall

That's exactly what I'd want something that'll really show them as ancestors they don't need to be specific Dunmer or anything for roleplaying purposes, but having an ancestor come out and defend his kin shouting as such would be amazing.

Any reason you feel this way?

I'm curious about this as well I'm wondering about Dunmer interaction is in general. The Nords, Argonians and Dunmer interactions are what I'm most excited to see, but I'm wondering how the other races see the Dunmer now as well.
