Dunmer Dovakiin

We've already been told that there are different body types in Skyrim, so that should adress the issue. Everyone having the same physique was a problem in past games, but it shouldn't be in Skyrim. Just because the screenshots you've seen mostly show the muscular body type doesn't mean that others aren't in the game, after all, said screenshots of muscular characters are mostly depicting warriors of some sort or another, you'd expect those people to be muscular. if you see a picture of a beggar who looks like that, then you have something to complain about.

And in fact, I'm pretty sure we've already seen different body types in screenshots, take the http://www.elderscrolls.com/skyrim/media/screenshots/stealth-kill/ screenshot, for example, maybe you didn't notice this, but at least to me, it looks like the victim, who appears to be a Dunmer, has more slender arms than those on the Dovahkiin we've seen most of the time, indicating that his physique appears to be different. And if you look at the bartender in the tavern screenshot, it looks, at least to me, like he is somewhat more heavily built than the other characters we've seen. I certainly don't remember seeing variety like that in Morrowind or Oblivion, and I will welcome that much needed addition to the character customization.

To me the dunmer looks kinda like a goblin, his skin seems very green, unlike the ashen dark skin im used to. but thats just my speculation of that perticular picture. And it doesnt really show much, im talking about the full body shots, every one of the main characters, are bulky.
Do you have a link where its said that different body styles have been confirmed?
I have seen the tavern shot, and the only difference i saw was the female. The bartender and the guy talking to him both look to be above average body style. Maybe not quite He-Man-ish but pushing it a little..

Well, in OB and morrowind the people had the same body structure (eight pack with super toned muscles, even the beggars) and now they seem to look more He-Man-ish even the kajiit picture has very broad shoulders.
My question is will the rest of the races look like this, and will everyone (NPCs and such) all have the same look to them

If so ill be dissapointed.. i dont want my Dunmer Assassin to look like a he-man in black leather -_-

You'll be able to change body type I'm pretty sure.. that's what I've heard.

I think it will be part of character creation, but I think it will be preset options and not a slider.

Better than nothing at all.
And nothing but He-Men walking around with little women.

This is why I wandered off into whether or not armor will vary. It's been strongly hinted at least, though not entirely clarified, that we'll be able to alter overall body shape. Whether that'll just be scaling on three axes or actual changes in proportions we don't know, but it's at least been said that there will be some way to adjust body shape. But it's entirely possible that, even with that, armor is going to be pretty standard, so any adjustments you might make to a body will vanish as soon as you put a suit of armor on him. Or, more accurately, it might be limited to scaling on three axes (which already existed in Oblivion).

At this point though, we just don't know.

All I can think about now is a short skinny nord male running about. Now that woud be fun. I can see it now for the roleplay "A nord once big and strong cursed by a dragon to become weak, he seaks reveage on the dragons that had hurt him so." So fingers crossed for the sliders.

Haha

I dont think we will have sliders, maybe not this time around, but at least presets that armor would fit on.
