http://pics.livejournal.com/morningstarlady/pic/006c7xs9/s640x480 picture of Sotha Sil showing how he's very Dunmer. First, there's the pale grey skin on his head, and if that doesn't convince you, look at his hand. Remember, when blood stops flowing underneath skin, the hue lightens (because skin is somewhat translucent). If you take that concept and apply it to the Dunmer's ashen skin, the concept remains the same, the overt blue and some of the red (because they still bleed red blood) in their skin goes away. Their skin is naturally pretty ruddy to begin with, so you should really think about adding blue into his face and then you'll see his Dunmeri skin come back.
Geez, I can't believe this is in contention. When you deal with the number three, anything thematically significant among two of its members will ALWAYS extrapolate to a third. Is one guy a Mage and one guy a Thief? Then the third is a Warrior. Did #1 just backstab #2? It's because of #3. It's the TES Law of Three: If two, non-Enantiomorphic concepts are bound up together, then there will be a third bound up there as well. Except when there's four. Or five.
