People, I'm rofling in real life here... seriously.
Everyone complain that Beth isn't doing a good job advertising their game and that they can't keep up to the times they say they'll release new information/screenshots.

But notice how everyone is so DEAD EAGER to see this ONE new screenshot XD

Personally... Beth, I applaud you, you're doing a GREAT job advertising the game, look at how hyped your fans are!

Because the last screenshots were posted a [censored] month ago. I'm beginning to think that Pete Hines's lead consultant is a magic 8-ball that says nothing but "No" and "Ask again later." This pointless media blackout is diminishing my interest in the game. Can you imagine how happy people would be if they released a screenshot of each race to go with the Khajiit and Orc ones? How those screenshots would be all over the Internet with people getting excited about how cool they look, did you see that Roman armor the Imperial was wearing, that High Elf's fancy robes, that awesome greataxe that the Argonian was carrying, etc. I can't wait for this game now! I'm going to make a blah blah blah...

Instead of getting a slow, teasing trickle of media we're getting [censored] all. Who the [censored] comes up with this marketing strategy? Hype dies down. It needs to be renewed every so often, even if only by a picture of a [censored] gazelle.

Also a single screenshot a few hundred people want currently isn't bad PR. It's called extreme impatience. Instead of doing something else with their time people are here instead.

And yes, I see this as bad PR, though I'm no expert. Yes, everyone on these forums are psyched for the game and every little bit of info they get, but that's because most of us are serious Elder Scrolls fans. We'd all be just as psyched and ready to spend oodles of cash if they told us more or even less, just because it's Elder Scrolls. I doubt anyone besides ES fans knows a thing about Skyrim.

Seriously. Admit it, you REALLY want to see this picture now that it has been delayed, and you'll want to see it even more if it's delayed a little further. Of course if they overdo it it's not a good thing. But at the moment? It's a good hyping method.

I believe this entire discussion is why game developers are often loathe to give timeframes. While it makes a sort of logical sense that this could be done in ten minutes or so...it obviously hasn't and I'm gonna assume there's a reason for that, and I really really don't think they're just sitting on it to work people into a frenzy

Plenty of my friends knew nothing of it until a couple of us informed them. Plus, those who do know about it, don't know enough to be interested unless they were previously a fan, or are just interested in RPGs and sword games.
