I would like that, as long as they varied the raspy quality of the voice a little bit. It was a bit absurd at some times in Morrowind...

Very much in agreement here. According to Imdb it was Jeff Baker that did the male Dunmer in Tes III. If they cant get him I think that whoever did the voice for Rotface the ghoul in New Vegas could be a good substitute.

Whoever they decide on I just hope we don't have a repeat of the Oblivion Dark Elves, they all sounded like a mudcrab had them by the toe. That voice would of been ok for the Bosmer but even that's stretching it.

Hopefully the guy that did all of the male elves in Oblivion is nowhere to be heard in Skyrim... hell, I think the only voice actor from Oblivion that should be allowed to come back is Wes Johnson (Imperials, Lucien Lechance).

I might play as a Dark Elf if that voice comes back, and they look as badass as they did. If not, I'm going to go with a Nord.

In the Oblivion demos they sounded pretty similar to Morrowinds. Was scrapped before it came out though, it seems.

Hopefully everyone sounds different. So no Nords sounding like Orcs and no Orcs sounding like Nords. Oh and no mers sounding the same either, Bosmer's can keep the voice from oblivion but Altmer and Dunmer needs to change.

And yet Tobacco was available in Oblivion and not Morrowind. The world makes no sense.

Perhaps it had to do with the ashes from Red Mountain, who knows.

I think it has more to do with the massive amounts of volcanic ash...

Maybe, but nobody else seems to do it, even the people that seem to have been there for years. Like Caius Cosades.

Maybe it's racially specific to Dunmer.

I loved the morrowind voice, but the dark elves in oblivion were from another place, right? maybe they were born in cyrodiil etc. maybe thats why they werent "raspy" even though prolly it was just bethesda that couldnt be arsed 'bout getting a raspy actor.

my opinion: a mix. 80% morrowind-style with different raspy-ness levels and 20% more oblivion style, maybe more "noble" dark elves have more "refined" voices, more snobby, or w/e
