Dunmer Voices

Personally I prefered the Morrowind gravelly sound to their voice. It made them sound so much more intimidating. It made you fell like such a stranger in their homeland.

Morrowind, they just sound more mysterious and have that no-nonsense attitude.

There wasn't even a dark elf voice for Oblivion. Just an "elf" voice.

Neither - I hate them both. Hire new, and more, voice actors.

Morrowind definitely.

Dunmers sounded like chain smokers, and who can ever forget their overt and constant discrimination (Don't get me started on ordinators...)? Pure classic.

Considering that the Dunmer haven't been svcking ash for several years now, I can't quite see how they can go back to havin' Ol' Smokey doing their voices again.

Ok while I get the "wanting a new game thing".. seriously, should the dark elves be light green and ten feet tall now? Oh no, we can't have Dark elves with gray skin and red eyes again.. that's already been done in another game. Some things need to stay the same people. I hate the fact that races get changed in every game. It's still Elder Scrolls, if you want a game that much different go play fable or something. I want Elder Scrolls.

I say Morrowind voices all the way. Why? Because they were unique. And they sounded neat too, their voices matched their appearance which gave them an overall "Dark" feeling.

In look, yes they should be somewhat similar. but a voice? do we really need to compare that to the other ES games? I don't think so. Plus we will most likely see new voice actors anyway, possibly with an even more brutal voice than Morrowind.

It's racial, not a product of their environment. Dunmer in Mournhold had the same voices. Contrary to what Oblivion-ers may think, all elves do not have the same sounding voices.

Ummm... its canon? Voices don't just change. How would you feel if you had you nice deep voice then you turn into a chipmunk the next day?

I really don't know what happened in Oblivion, but I'm sure they are going to try and replicate a voice, or even get the voice actor back.

Not to mention the races themselves have changed so much since Arena, its not a stretch to think that their voices wont be the exact same. Remember when Argonians looked like Grey Aliens?
