Dunwich Borers ? (possible spoilers)

Post » Sun Jan 10, 2016 6:19 pm

Hello

I was given a mission by Preston Garvey to help a settlement, I was told by the settlers to head to Dunwich Borers which was like a giant mine... While I was in there I kept having flash backs... it was like an alter with young children around.... then when the feral ghouls attacked me they all had human names... it was just a bit strange...

Did anybody else come across this? or is it part of a mission I have not yet come across?

Thank you

It's not part of a mission, just a really unique place. Bethesda's got a thing for Lovecraft horror. If you can hold your breath long enough, jump into the pool of water and look around, there's something nice inside.

... don't jump into the water with Power Armor.

well at first i fell into the water with power armor on lol. So I reloaded and exited the power armor and went into the water... at the bottom for me all there was, was some bottle caps and some green fungus and nothing else... :(

There's also another nice treat around the Station 4 terminal.

Just finished up this location for my first time, a little bit ago. Got the flashbacks and was like 'Oh not this sh#%$@$t! again!' Luckily I had my maxed out Kellog's Pistol equipped and made short work of the tasty ghouls.

Would have been nice if there was a little bit more backstory into this location. The company digging, etc. A bit more on the flashbacks would have been nice too.

Tasty ghouls? Clearly, you have not stumbled across a certain random encounter or fully explored a certain location.

Was there something more down there? I went as far as I could go...there was only one door I couldn't open because I didn't have a key. But that was near the beginning of going in Dunwich Borers..

Yes there is a unique weapon that I use all the time because I like to melee. Not much use to those who don't melee.

It's a powerful machete with sacrificial effect.

Machete's are medium speed melee weapons.

Oh I did get the rare weapon. Was referring to if there was another bad guy I missed? I thought this section was rather easy with the ghouls to fight and taking my time moving around the Quarry. Hoping I didn't miss a boss fight! Killed the named ghouls, and had a few Gangerous and Reaver Feral Ghouls.
