C3 PC DVD Does it require extra d/load to play the game?

Post » Sat Jan 04, 2014 6:27 am

Hi, I live out in the sticks and my internet connection is rubbish so I need to know if I buy C3 for PC on DVD does it still require a lot of game content to be d/loaded to play the game, I know if you buy some game DVD's they contain little more than registration data and most of the game still needs to be d/loaded, also does C3 need to be always online to play single player?

Many thanks for any advice.

Well no replies, I guess everyone plays on consoles or buys the full d/load version, never mind, as much as I have enjoyed previous crysis games and used them as a PC benchmark and built a PC to play the games maxed out it seems that crytek have really dropped the ball with C3.

After reading the forum it's clear that crytek have little interest in it's customers after they have had their money so I've decided to save mine, there are other games to spend my money on.

I find it almost bizarre the way crytek abandon gamers so quickly after making such ground breaking games, I think they have been living off their reputation since C1 and they seem to think that gamers will buy anything they make and "All hail the great crytek" well I think their reputation now stinks and any future games they release will have to receive near 100% reviews and a lot of forum approval before I buy them.

Goodbye crytek, you are your own worst enemy, ignoring and disrespecting your customers is the worst thing you can do...Game Over.

If you just want to play single player you should be ok, however there were a couple patches that fixed a couple bugs that some people couldn't progress through the game. I don't think the patch is terribly large, but you should be fine without it.

If you're still interested I can check, it does come on two DVD discs so I don't think you need to download too much more though(needs online activation too). I think I've lost my interest in Crysis after the no ModSDK announcement, not interested much in MP or the campaign.
