So, for one time the disc read, and i managed to install the game but due to the retardation known as SecuROM i have to have the disc to play it. problem is, i can't get the PC to recognize the DVD despite it recognizing it one time. how do i fix this? Why is it that things involving PC gaming never go right on the first try for me?!

Oh yeah, the discs my PC won't recognize are Oblivion and F3 Disc 1. It recognizes Disc 2, a blank 4Gig DVD and a Megadeth CD fine.

I am seething with rage. i've waited so long to play F3 on the PC, but once i finally get GOTY it won't even recognize disc 1! i'm ready to toss the computer out my window! (keep in mind i don't get mad at computers easily)

Just make a shortcut to the Fallout.exe and bypass the launcher. No Disk Check.

If you want to use mods, then use Fallout Mod Manager
