What do you recommend for a new drive?
I am really only going to be playing games, not burning music and such. If it has other features, that's fine.
Must be:
SATA
Internal
x16 or greater.
Windows 7 64 bit compatible
good quality overall
around $50, preferably less.

Any optical drive is pretty much the same as any other IMO.

Not even sure what brand is in my PC ATM. Looking at Newegg, $30 should get you what you need including shipping.

Games only read from the DVD when installing, after that it's only in for the copy protection.

Just sort by rating on newegg and get a cheap one by a good brand.
