Okay so Orcish weapons/armor is better than Dwarven, correct?
Then why are standard dwarven bows better? Is this something to do with lore
Im new to TES so i was just curious

No, Dwarven gear is better than Orcish.

In armor, Orcish is better. In Weapons, Dwarven is better....

Dont know why, it just is.

Edit: Maybe not.

As mentioned by others, Dwemer weapons are better than Orcish weapons, while Orcish armour are better than Dwemer armour.

I know this is true but I would think it would be the other way around since the Orcs are all about dealing as much damage as they can (I refer you to their racial ability Berserk)... That's just my thoughts though...

I tend to find orcish weaponry before dwarven, and dwarven armour before orcish. Also the time it takes in going from orcish weapons to dwarven is tiny. After only a few levels of using them I'm finding dwarven all over tha place. The same's not said for the armour, though, seems to take a lot longer. Perhaps is because I'm lvling my 1H skill faster than my armour skill so the chances of them dropping come sooner.

Orcs are better with Heavy Armor so it makes sense that the armor is stronger then the weapon.

It's bass ackwards. Dwarven weapons ARE better than Orcish, but Orcish armor provides better protection.

Yet another wasted perk for my light armored characters, as they end up using Orcish... Nothing.
