Only ever updated, never reinstalled

I have had Fallout Shelter since it released on Android (but I stopped playing for a few months).

The only time the game significantly lags is when I am trying to equip a dweller with armor or weapons. The number of items in each category causes the whole game to lag, which makes it difficult to select items. The sort also is not intelligent enough to sort by what gives the most of a certain special or to reverse sorting by name (z-a).

Is there any way to set the game up so that it only displays one of each item, and how many unequipped of the item you have in your storage? I believe this would solve the lag issue pertaining to the equip menus.

Removing all of the gear I will never use helped the lag issue, but I'm storing a lot of useful gear for when I have a lot more dwellers.
