Dwellers think Corpses are still in room

Post » Mon Feb 15, 2016 6:31 am

I had a raider attack and removed the Corpses, however my dwellers think a corpse is still there. It's lowering my vault happiness level and I don't know how to get rid of these 'invisible' corpses

That's a very old bug that Bethesda do not fix.

You can see a lot of posts about that in this and other forums.

Its not usually raider corpses though causing that, its dead dwellers (or what it thinks is a dead dweller). They don't seem to care about dead raiders!

Another problem is the bug caused my dwellers dead.

I recalled I just finished an objective of surviving death claws without casualties and won a box. Quit and come back later, 2 dwellers gone and invisible corpse there.

The vault door if the room that I make sure guarded always.

I think I've just realized why my nuke a cola workers aren't very happy - maybe I'll destroy and rebuild the room to see if that gets rid of the ghosts.

It seems I have an invisible body in my Vault Door. The peculiar thing is, one specific guard is oblivious and 100% happy. Every other dweller I place in the Vault Door, and I've tried dozens, complains about a dead body and their happiness drains to 0%!

This might be one of the reasons they gave us the ability to kick people out of the vault. Every now and then you get some malcontent who just won't cheer up.

As for the invisible corpse, sometimes all you can do is build a replacement room and move the survivors to it.

How about the Vault door?

Bethesda should fix that.

*Vault Door gets bugged*

Where is your god now?

But seriousl, what if that happens? Or worse, what if it happens to one of your Nuka Cola rooms? A bit over 65'000 Caps wasted to regain productivity. This seems like a serious bug. Or is it a 'ghost' thing and completely intentional?

Do I need Three Dog to exorcise the ghost with smooth jazz?

I'm having problems. My dwellers think there are corpses in the room, but there are none. This is happening in multiple rooms. I can't get their mood to improve. Anything I can do to stop this problem? The rooms that this is happening in are rooms the are maxed out & can no longer be upgraded. Do I have to destroy the rooms & start over? What a waste of Caps! Thanks in advance!

Yeah assuming it's not your Vault door/room that's bugged you currently have to destroy and rebuild the room to get the spirits to cross over.

Question - do the ghosts only remain if you revive your dead dweller - what if you just kill them off - does anyone know? I've only lost a couple of people since the glitch started and both times I've revived the downed person - but then I've rebuilt the room to get rid of the ghosts - incidentally on one occasion destroying and rebuilding did not get rid of the ghost it just respawned in the new room - after that I did a force stop and reloaded the game before rebuilding a second time just to properly exercise my demons. Just wish they would fix it - seems like this affects enough people to warrant looking into.

I have the same problem. I don't want to waste the time and resources to demo and rebuild if the Devs have a fix planned.
