Dwemer Lore

I think that most of you know the story of the dissapearance of the Dwemer. But..... what hapened to them?

When Karenac touched the Heart of Lorkhan with his tools, all of the dwemer suddenly dissapeared. All exept one, which is Yagram Bagarn, who survived because he was in the Oblivion at the moment, and thanks to the Corpus disease. But again, what happened to them? Some say that they transpored to a different realm, while others say they saw them in Oblivion. I even heard someone say that ther lifeforce gone to the Numidium, but if that is true why didn't the Vivec, Soltha Sil and Almalexia vanish? Tell me your theory about this

The most commonly-accepted theory is explained here: http://www.imperial-library.info/content/final-report-trebonius. While that establishes where they are, it doesn't really explain their current state. They may be alive, they may not be. I personally think they're probably somewhere in-between. Does this mean they succeeded in what they were planning to do? I don't think so, as there are hints that Numidium was supposed to be used multiple times.

That's pretty much the gist of the report. The reason that the Tribunal didn't disappear is because they were only linked to the Heart after the Dwemer disappeared. if the Dwemer were still around, they would have had a hard time getting to the tools in the first place.

The Dwemer specifically linked themselves to the Numidium and become its skin and soul, the Tribunal were simply drawing power from the Heart.

It is possible the Tribunal's meddling with the heart also effected the Chimer as a whole, turning them into the Dunmer we know today. There's at least precedent for the Heart affecting giant swaths of people, as opposed to the meddling of a Prince that late in Nirns history.
