So I've been working on this since late last year - off and on, mostly, due to a wacky work schedule and an employer with no concept of "personal time" - but I think I've finally cobbled together enough to show you what I'm working on.
I sat down and examined the Dwemer Ruins in Vvardenfell (yes, even taking Bamz-Amschend into consideration). There are 24 total. Now, if I take the Red Mountain/Sixth House ruins out of the equation, that leaves me with 19. Nineteen ruins with so much potential and no follow-through. I know there have been several Greater Dwemer Ruins projects in the past, but I'm aiming for something a little different. I wanted to not only expand the Dwemer Ruins, I wanted to give them each a unique feel. Some personality. Some of those ruins seemed to blend together into an endless expanse of brownish tunnels.
I selected Aleft and Mudan for my proof of concept. Both of them have immediately identifiable qualities. Aleft is in a swamp, Mudan is underwater (mostly).
Therefore, I am proud to present to you the first screenshots of my Dwemer Ruin Overhaul Project (or DROP, if you're of a shortening mind. I didn't really notice it was an acronym until just now).

This mod is nowhere near done - I'd place it somewhere in the v0.1.9 range, and I don't plan to release it until both of these ruins are complete and have been double- and triple-checked. I've got a bunch of cells built for Aleft, and I've started on the seafloor area of Mudan, but I've still only put in about 10% of the things I want to. I'll keep this thread updated as I take more screenshots and as the version number climbs. But for now, I hope you all enjoy. I look forward to your feedback. If anyone wants to help me decorate/detail some of the cells, I won't say no. I'd appreciate the help immensely.
