No guns...Anyone who suggests it deserve a Hard Drive eating virus that short circuits their computer internals and renders it useless. Seriously, enough with the guns, go play CoD

Putting "dwemer" infront of modern technology doesn't automaticcally make it fit a TES game.

Definitely. And instead of bullets, it should shoot fireballs, lightning bolts, or frost bolts. And it should be powered by magic, not steam. Oh wait, we already have this stuff, it's call spells!

Can't be bothered to read all 6 pages. All I can say is, want guns or rifles in a TES game, go play Fallout 3 or New Vegas or even better go play Fable 3. Sorry no guns in TES. Unless it's a crossbow, but that's it.

Chill out man. The idea of putting a scope on a crossbow actually makes sense. (As you may have seen in Half-Life or Black Ops) Putting it on a regular bow, or anything else for matter (Considering there are no guns in TES, which is good) is just ridiculous.

Make sense ? WTF.
Why to you think the pleader want a scope ?
To hit through a window and ropewalk inside the building ? What ? For the scope to be usefull, the rope building will need to be a undred meters away, do you think a bolt will sustain the wheight and resistance of the rope and be able to lodge itself in a wall and still hold the strain of your wheight on the rope ?
Why do you think they want: SCOPES ?
To F...... HEADSHOT of course !!!! To Headshot on a game that doesn t contemplate HIT localization!!!!! HOW SMART!!!!
Its the damn FPS culture!!!

It would be much more interesting for example, if Beth install some physics in the world and you could run, cast levitate and enjoy the fluctuation for example. Or been trhrown around by a fireball blast, or even why not install a spell mode when you hold the cast button you consume more increasingly fast mana but the spell grow in power or time with a failure risk growing with the time you hold the spell, all this of course, after you ve modded the basic spell.
So many possibilities, and they come with.. scopes to headshot in a game that doesn t consider hit location...lol

Unfortunatly my last indagation is valid... people post in here without thinking.

Only if it can be dual wielded

Yes. With Matrix style V.A.T.S. defense/offense and voice acting. You know, the way it should have been in OB.

Emperor Neo would have [censored] slapped those Mythic Dawn assassins around and had cold butt secs with their lifeless bodies.

Oh, and trench coats. With hoods. And emo boots. And jelly beans.

@ the OP. Thanks for the entertainment. :P

Well if you think the TES ain t cool:
GTFOYFT and good riddance, we don tneed no console style player.
And if you really want it.. L2MOD troll.

OBS: i dont know to which one kind this one was sarcastic with so i burned it as a preemtive strike to avoid disease spead.
It always fearsome when someone scream "BRAINNNS".

God, I'm getting really good at this.

I just wanted to add that Boba Fett style armour and weaponry would give TES a much needed facelift, now just because TES Lore never mentioned anything like it, does not mean it could not have been achieved. Beth could bridge Oblivion technology with some Mage's guild uber discovery of a Star Wars DVD (make the Dwemer have some of those playing) and so the guild old guys teleported into the movie, stripped Bobba naked and used the Archmage chest duplication glicth to sorta mass produce it.

But I want to emphasise that this is all optional, so I am not imposing my superior thought process and taste upon yous.

Cripes, there were more assumptions in this post that I can even count. I never said anything about headshots or a zipline crossbow (Though I have to admit, both of those things would be cool.) All I said is that a scoped crossbow is a definite lore-friendly possibility that would also be fun to use.

I think we would see some type of cumbersome hand gonne or siege cannons before we saw a freaking scoped rifle.

OK i ll concede!!!
Please elaborate on what a scoped crossbow would bring to the gameplay. And how you consider fun a scope on a medieval setting, also please, elaborate the ingame use a scope would have beyond what i ve exposed, i m at a loss here. As i sayd i m not the brightest.

BTW, only the zipline would be interesting. BUT(T) since you weren t on that plane of creativity...

Didn't scopes come AFTER guns?

I do like steampunk, but Dwemer didn't have guns first of all (although they did have robots), second of all they had magic, third of all guns=/=TES

P.S. If you're an offended Anime fan, take a deep breath, pull the Pocky out of your ass and lighten up.

And to the OP :slap: Guns in TES is a bad idea. And the poll results caused me to lose a lot of faith in this forum. 20 people actually think it's a good idea. I hope they were joking.

We should just getnuclear bombs. If we're gonna totally screw the game up there's no point being half-assed about it.

Ditto - if they add guns, they should go all the way and make it "Skyrim: 2077".

That being said, they won't. When people bring this up, it's just another method of riling up the masses against the hypothetical "mainstream threat" to TES. Bethesda's not incompetent.
