dwemer scoped rifle?

Post » Thu Mar 11, 2010 7:14 pm

Guns in Skyrim, humm.

I really don't think they fit in the 'Sword and Sorcery' genre. Sword and Gun, nope. Gun and Sorcery, nope. Sword and Sorcery and Guns, err, no, kind of totally decimates the entire sword and sorcery ethos don't you think?

Still, always willing to search for a compromise I started to think that maybe some sort of energy weapon would be more fitting. I cannot think of any lore friendly portable source of electricity so perhaps if we powered them with soul gems? I then got to thinking about my youth, playing around and finding a stick or a twig or a small branch. Yay, pew-pew, pew-pew-pew, pew-pew-BANG. Oh yes! Brilliant idea. I guess this was the inspiration for the staffs in Oblivion :meh:

No guns and no wooden stick rocket launchers either

as a custom weapon in the game?

Not rifle, crossbow.
We should just getnuclear bombs. If we're gonna totally screw the game up there's no point being half-assed about it.

First we must get them to include the Shehai, then we'll make the next step to nuclear bomb.

Scoped crossbow I'd be okay with. But cut the rifle crap please.

After people complained and [censored]ed about Fallout 3 being Oblivion with guns it was about god damned time that somebody complained bout Skyrim being Fallout 3 with swords.

When I see posts like this I lose all faith in my beloved ES series. Then I see the poll results and my faith is restored.

I don't see why you couldn't dual wield sniper rifles. You've got two hands and two eyes, right? You'd just have to train your eyes to work independently of each other.

Plus, with magic, we could make those heavy sniper rifles light as feathers, to make the epic dual wielding action even easier. I wonder what the magicka cost of an auto-reloading spell would be...

Epic. And you can enchant the bullets to make an illusion hologram of yourself tea bagging the enemies you've killed.

You know that gun in Metro 2033 that shoots electrifies ball bearings with air pressure? A steam powered Dwemer gun using the same principle (minus the electricity :P) could be acceptable as a unique weapon. *Ducks and Covers*

Yes.

And while we're at it, we should also be able to dual-wield those babes. With some new cool skill called 'Modernness' we should be able to UPGRADE them into Miniguns , then Rocket Launchers and finally at Masterness level the all too important and sorrily missing "L33t G34r of Nuclearissmness". All optional, so you consertvative and unimaginative lot cannot complain about Tamriel's much needed development and so may keep your frozen world in uncool perpetuitiness. Which is all optional, too.

lets do some history.

fable 1 = kick ass
fable 2 = added guns, single handedly destroyed the experience for me.

WHAT!!! Fable 1 was actually good? I have heard this before... but only from people who also liked the sequels.

But anyway, no guns please.

I blame Anime.

If it doesn't have twelve foot swords, ridonculous guns (bonus: twelve foot sword with a ridonculous gun built in) and scantily clad tweenage girls, it aint fantasy by Anime standards.

Stop getting hentai all over my swords and sorcery! Damn kids today...get off my lawn!

P.S. If you're an offended Anime fan, take a deep breath, pull the Pocky out of your ass and lighten up.
