Dwermer muskets - do you wish they would be in?

Post » Mon May 02, 2011 11:29 pm

What is your stance on this? Do you agree that guns are a must?

Just imagine.. You are in a cold skyrim forest, stalking some nasty frost-creature for a good meal and a trophy, waiting for the perfect shot with your gun.

You find the creature, you breath carefully while you take aim with your sniper... and kill it.

how awesome wouldn't that be? WTF were bethseda thinking not adding guns to TES:4?

I'll give you a suggestion, look up "guns" on the search function here, and you'll come across almost all topics related to guns. And everyone of them came to the consensus that the community does NOT want guns. Also, the devs confirmed no guns, and the game is going to be more low tech than Oblivion's Cyrodiil.

No for the last freaking time. Use the search bar. This topic has been brought up time and time again and repeatedly shot down by the vast majority of the community here. No. Just No.

Now stop it.

Okay.... I know this is frowned upon on this forum, but between this thread and your simultaneous thread on dragon riding, I deeply, sincerely hope that you're trolling.

NO dragon riding.
NO guns.

These aren't even subjects up for debate, other than as a purely academic exercise (and both of which the community repeatedly and by huge majorities opposes). Beth has already stated, clearly, absolutely, unequivocally, NO.

Obligatory one word reply that makes up large portion of every tech thread:

That would be so straining, for the sake of the mods' mental health, no.

WELL... I guess we all know why average fans aren't devs or modders.. ;)

I mean, you guys remember when Niels Bohr and his "crazy" band revolutionized science? Everyone hated them and their "illogical" ideas.

But.. Once people got the taste of the incredibly accurate science of quantum mechanics.. No1 could dispute the beauty and awesomeness of their work.

I think it would be the same with guns. Bethseda should take their chances.

How many gun threads do you need to post kirov? If you want to shoot guns so bad play fallout or call of duty.

Ahahahaha

Problem is, we already have games with guns. We have thousands of games with guns. Take your pick. Games like TES are a rare breed. Go play Fallout.

Also, it's Dwemer, not Dwermer.

"tech" thread..... lol.

Man - just come out and admit that you really lust for guns in the game. This tedious backhanded rhetorical dance you do in every one of these threads is getting stale and tired.

are you relating the idea to implement guns in TES to Niels Bohr's science of quantum mechanics...?

Buuuuut, the devs have confirmed no guns, and nearly every TES PC player uses mods.

Apple, meet orange. Also, consistency helps. Furthermore, the tech growth in TES is extremely slow to the point of near stagnation. 200 years isn't much. 2000 is closer for tech to evolve.
