DX11 24HZ ON HDTV BUG *HELP!!*

Post » Mon Dec 12, 2011 11:31 am

Crytek, I am so in love with the new texture package and the DX11 features. However, whenever I enable DX11, it forces my screens refresh rate to 24hz. This is very annoying because even though my dual 6970's are getting NO LESS than 60FPS, the refresh rate at 24hz doesn't allow my screen to process any higher than 24 FPS which is annoying the hell out of me. I have tried all the possible 'fixes' i have found online. From ALT+Tab to Vsync on Vsync OFF to editing my registry NoActiveDesktopChanges = 0. NOTHING WORKS

If anyone else has found a solution, other than the ones I've mentioned above, since they DO NOT work for me, please let me know!

This is temp fix:
HOW TO FIX:

Run the game and go to option > Graphics, then go on "Full Screen" change it to NO.
Restart the game and make sure DX11 is enabled (If you want DX11).

Now, as soon as the game starts and you see the creepy (but cool looking) Cryengine Logo/eye hit ALT + Enter! The games resolution will change to 1600x1200 @60Hz and then 1920x1080 @ 60Hz. This is the only fix I've found to the problem.

Yes, I am using an HDMI cable directly from my 1st GPU to my HDTV.

I tried the full screen = no then restart and alt+enter during startup. I found your fix on SteamForums and it doesn't work for me :\
